Keep Shipp (dude can recruit) but make Sapp the unofficial recruiter, ala Stacey Elliot. It certainly won't hurt to have him follow some of the Florida DL talent.

I actually like this idea. He and justin smith as "volunteer" assistants.

If you get hookers for recruits, you don't want to get caught. So you don't want Sapp running that program.

I caught that. But they talked about it as though it's done. I think he's the guy, and BO was doing the classy thing by not announcing it until NSD is past. I'd say he's next up to coach DLine-ZOU.
I like Sapp and Smith recruiting for us. I think Sapp probably has too much swag to be a good bagman though.

Just as posted that here, I saw Mizzou made it offical on Shipp. Sapp is a perfect bagman for The U. But I'd put him on the payroll at MU.

Sapp is a character. Huge...personality. To say the least. Ego for days. But he generally backed it up. He attracts too much attention to to be a good bagman anywhere, IMO. Those guys have to fly under the radar.
