So it is some sort of intentional jab at Mizzou. I figured so.

No idea if intentional or not. Simply saw someone bring it up much like you did. Was asked to be corrected. Who knows.

The rankings are probably just done by wins.
USC has played more games than Missouri, and thus the 4 wins as opposed to Missouri's 3.
