Trying to not get too ahead of myself

This weekend could truly be the game that establishes us in the SEC, win or lose. If we can just find a way to make it competitive and then end the season strong we can change some perceptions in the league. We will still be "Yankee" outsiders to most of them, but at least yanks that can win.

Sound reasoning. But I am still adjusting to being called a "Yankee" after so many years of being a "slaver."

It is so odd. Just goes to show you how perception can be so different from place to place. If we were in the B1G we would seem like a southern outlier to most of those teams. I guess we just don't fit anywhere.

I hear ya Fight. Really trying to keep it in check because we haven't hit the hardest part of our schedule yet. Not sure I'll be able to keep it in check if we happen to win this weekend.

I just want to restate what I said a few weeks ago and got demolished for. I still think this game has a whole lot of the feeling of A&M at Bama last year, a true road game where it will take our QB playing at his best and not making mistakes to win. Granted looks like UGA is gonna have quite a few injuries for this one, I still think this game could solidify us for the rest of this season and help our perception nationally.

And neither will your boot, but I still look forward to it this Saturday.

It will just take time to assimilate. Winning will help.
I had dinner tonight with 3 big college football fans. They all thought we had a decent chance to win our next 4 games - Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina. Georgia is dealing with injuries like we had last year. Florida will be coming off the LSU game, and hurting from the physicality of that game. And South Carolina has a lot of distractions right now.
I refuse to get ahead of myself, but this season's schedule suddenly looks a little more favorable than it did a couple of weeks ago.
