I'll add to it in that I hate when that game is on our schedule. Scary game that late in the year.

Wouldn't be surprised if there is a large BYU contingent at that game. BYUs stadium is just barely smaller than Mizzous. By hey tend to fill it up, & and there are a lot of Mormons in the middle of the country that go to these type of games. I know a few that went to the ND game a couple years ago.

Wanted a game in KC. Exposure? Big payday? I'm not sure.

It is what it is. I would have preferred it be at home as well, but that's what Alden wanted when he scheduled the game.

This type of limp dick shite is a reason Alden isn't at the helm anymore.

He got raped on that deal.

So dumb.

Dump big bucks into renovated stadium -- take away a home game, replacing it with a 65% empty NFL stadium. Dumb.

I'm sure it makes sense financially or we wouldn't be doing it. I think we keep the entire gate, and get some sort of base payout on top of that as well.

It won't be 65% empty. Even if Mizzou fans don't go, the Mormons will make it a pilgrimage. It may very well end up being 65% BYU fans, but I think it will be near full.

It's not going to be 65% BYU fans.

Mizzou fans will have a good showing in KC.

I mean.. the place wasn't exactly full for Mizzou-kansas.

Depending on how the year goes.. for both teams.

This has the potential to be a weird one.

Tell that to the bars and restaurants in Columbia.

I can't tell if you are serious.

The 2007 Border War game between Missouri and Kansas at Arrowhead Stadium ... 80,537 people (the second-largest crowd in stadium history) in attendance.

Do the RLDS or whatever they're calling themselves follow BYU football? Anyone?

I don't think so. After a quick google search looks like they have their own school in Iowa. it's a NAIA school Graceland University. I coached a volleyball team that had a tournament there.

I dunno but the Mormons I do know have talked about going to flipping Lacrosse game like it was a religious obligation or something. Slight exaggeration but not much.

I kinda thought that would be like the Shias rooting on a Sunni soccer team.

Part of the issue was the move to the SEC and the effect on our schedule by this move. Alden had to fill game slots.

This is a scary game because the entire state of Utah may come to Missouri simply because Missouri is their Holy Land. Missouri is Israel to the Mormons.

And they may never leave.

That scares me.

Too late this says there has been a 200% increase in the Mormon population in Missouri over the last 25 years. Missouri is now 17th in the U.S. In Mormon population.

I k ow that I had 4-5 professors in my time at Mizzou that were Mormons.

I have not understood the big deal either way. I have tickets and will be present. personally glad they took the time to play a game here. KC is the meca of tailgating in sports. It's a big venue with great exposure. KC is a battle ground between the big 12 and SEC for recruits Unlike St.Louis or Columbia. Same reasons they still schedule BB games at the Sprint Center.

The same argument could be said about the B1G and STL.
