Feels like every play is an all or nothing design. Margin for error resulting from this philosophy means receivers can not drop any catchable passes. Therefore, Moore needs to take a back seat or just sit.

When your offense has such a slim margin for error, you can't keep going to someone with such a low catch rate, even if the reward is often high.

If you have someone that can catch the ball for first downs, he needs to play over Moore. Mason, Johnson, and Hall give the O explosive ability.

A 60-yard reception means nothing if you drop the next 3 passes and don't get in the endzone.

Think Heupel needs to keep pushing more attempts to the tight ends. I want to see what Blanton can do! I suggest giving them Moore's throws.

The way this offense pushes the D vertically when it is humming, I would also think a few well-timed screens would gash and demoralize a defense.

Running philosophy is working. Keep it up. Is the line up for more runs? Can't see the job they are doing listening to the games on the radio.

I thought red zone offense was a bigger problem.
Mizzou had 4 trips in or close to the the red zone and finished with 6 points.
They have to learn how to finish drives.

Yep.

If Mizzou scored TDs on it's drives, you're talking about 21-14 at halftime, if the kicker could do his job, it's at least 14-13 instead of 14-10.

I thought McCann destroyed momentum twice in that game, first with the obvious stupid kickoff that was returned. Up 10-0, defense was in control, and you fricking do something beyond stupid, change the whole game.

Second time was 14-10, miss a FG at the end of the half, just unfricking believable.

The offense seemed to lose it's identify once Crockett went out of the game. I think more than anything that was the issue in the 2nd half.

Moore's drops were ridiculous, both were first downs, one was 3rd down on the USC side of the field.

Simply ridiculous that he still can't catch.

I admit after week 1 I drank the offensive koolaid.... Again

I expected 30 points minimum this week.

They looked lost most of the second half

J'mon Moore, was, once again, intimidated by tough defensive backs. We have seen it happen time and time again against SEC defenses.

Finish those 4 drives and Mizzou scores at least 30 points.

Mason and Johnson both had conspicuous drops. Johnson for a TD. Mason for a first down.

They did indeed. But at this point, the drops are symptomatic of Barry and Co's shite coaching.

Zero accountability to catch when Moore can constantly be forgiven for momentum killing drops and strip fumbles.

He's mentally and physically weak and Barry keeps putting up with his bullshite.

I'm sick of Moore. Get rid of him.

Run three TEs out there for all I care. Just stop playing the bum.

Anyway.

Where are the seam routes? The crossing patterns. The slot routes? Tone down the 40-50 yard bombs and CHIP AWAY at a lightning pace if you can't give up the tempo.

We need to quickly move to a ball control mindset on offense and use that OL and RBs more effectively. We have to limit the time the ST and Defense sees the field as only bad things happen when they are on the field.

Will BO direct Heupel to do it? I doubt it.

The only difference from the offense last year compared to this year is this year we are moving the ball, but not scoring. Last year we were barely moving the ball and not scoring.

I agree....Moore is pathetic, and there is no accountability on this team when you make a stupid play, or don't make the play when you should!
I would yank Moores jersey from him, then put him on the practice squad and let the #1's pound the crap out of him every time he touches the ball! He'll learn to catch the ball, or quit! Either is fine with me!

The Moore hate seems way more tied to his role in the protest than what he's actually doing as a football player.

Agreed. He's frustrating on the field. But without his nonsense in '15, it would be just frustration. Not the vitriol we see.

That's a cop out. I don't really care about his role. Mizzou needed a wake up call regarding some of the stuff that went on quite frankly but that's a discussion for a different forum.

I'm tired of his hot shot attitude. He thinks he's tough shite. Tries to pick fights when he fails epically or is played physically. And instead of backing anything up, he drops balls, gets stripped, runs poor routes, pouts, and generally displays poor body language in damn near every SEC game.

Basically.

He embodies the Jeff Fisher Lambs. That's why I don't like him.

It's the truth. He's annoying. But this "I'd kick him off the team and make him wear a tutu" stuff is silly.

As a catch all, yes it is a cop out.

Many like me can't stand him as a player.

The tutu shite is ridiculous, but the ones making those statements aren't adults.

Well. I suppose they could be man children.

I'm simply discussing him as a player.

He drops too many balls all the time.

He disappears more as the competition gets tougher.

In my opinion, these are both firmly established trends based on his play.

This offense can't afford either trend from a receiver getting a lot of snaps.

I do not blame Moore, the defense, or McCants. I blame the coaches who constantly send them out there. What is the definition of insanity??? The D looked 500% better but could not stay out there all day.

Hall needs to start at one of the WR positions.

On our special teams needs go get someone who got cut from the soccer team and try them out for field goals

Most of you, I assume are too young to remember this, but there was a highly touted RB from Missouri that was recruited by many high profile schools in the 70's. we got him! He showed up on campus, and was immediately installed as a #1 tailback. Now, back in
HS he was a stud! You'd see film on him running over everyone and anything in sight! Go to Mizzou, and got hit from .Big 8 defenses. So, he started just running out of bounds instead of taking the contact. About his 2nd or 3rd game, we had a 3rd and 3. He gained 2 1/2 yards and ran out of bounds instead of tucking his head and going north. That was the last time he ever carried a football for Missouri in a game! The coaches put him on the practice squad, and every time he chose to run out of bounds, he was nailed by a bunch of players. They'd hit him 5 yards out of bounds. He was bloodied and bruised. He quit football a few days after that, and never surfaced again!
Maybe Moore needs some time on the practice squad. He might actually learn to catch a football in traffic if he gets drilled a few times! And if he starts pushing people around like a girl, and like he does on game day, maybe TBJ, Biesel, and a couple other hard hitting big boys can teach him a lesson!
