Terrible? Naaaah

Average? Yes

Let's see what happens with 18's loaded class... If Odie can show improvement as a coach, and we see improvements on the field..... No reason why we can't snag some of this in state talent.

Average under Pinkel was in the 30's. Way too many 2* low hanging fruit type kids in this class, don't buy the spin that they're all under the radar guys either.

That's what this board said a few years ago when we signed some unknown....everyone (including me) was like who the frick is this guy????

'That' guy was Charles Harris. Another guy we recruited (and signed) EVERYONE wanted & based on his rating & measurables he was complete flop.....that guy was DGB.

I 100% knew someone would make a thread about how much we suck at recruiting.

Bad class, but, we got what we needed. A solid backup in the near future and qb, and loaded up at DT.

What you are missing is the 3 or 4 years we need to know whether it is good, bad or indifferent.

It would be awesome to see someone approach the incoming class, get right int their frickin' mugs and tell 'em how terrible they are. I bet it would work out well.

Homers and their logic.

There is nothing wrong, with calling an average class, average.

The only thing wrong with it is you can't possibly know if it's average or not.

I don't rely on the opinions of pencil pushing nerds who watched a 5 min clip of a prospect, if they even did that before just slapping a rating on them because of who they are committed to.

So Clark is a 2*? Lol. First team all state in Texas in 6A. 1800 yards, 18 TDs in 10 games...and he's a 2*?

Cross specifically mentioned that Whiteside is the steal of the class. He's a 2*?

Gillespie is a 2*?

These guys were never evaluated. Simply had a star rating slapped on them based on who they committed to.

Yeah.

I'd say you're missing a lot. Like 75% of the picture.

But I wouldn't worry about it.

You're not meant to think this through any better than you have.

Clark was rated so low because of chance of maybe not qualifying until his senior year when he inked the SAT. His real size they say is 5'7 and 147 pounds hurt him also, but this kid plays bigger and taller.

Whiteside's height hurt him, but this kid is strong as an ox and hard to move plus he is a weight room freak.(On paper I say that he's a generic version of Aaron Donald of the Rams) Not saying that he will be good like Donald.

Gillespie was just a kid they probably slipped on in the ratings, because they say he might be just as fast as any kid on Mizzou's team and he will probably be their most athletic safety along with Ulmer. Some teams in Florida that played against him says that he played like a 4*
