When this place started, the early Mizzou fans that camped out here wanted to make this a place for rational Mizzou discussion because they couldn't stand places like tigerboard. Well, this place seems worse than tigerboard. What happened? Why are all the bitching losers now infecting this board too?

When people keep feeding them by answering their posts or acknowledging them, they keep the negative stuff up. It's not any different on other Mizzou boards.

Just remember who is making the posts for use later on.

Are we allowed to discuss positives and negatives? Or just positives?

Discussion of all things good and bad is great. You can discuss weaknesses and poor play without jumping to the conclusion Mizzou sucks in some way.

Discussion goes like this: Mauk's short to intermediate passing wasn't accurate today.

What seems to happen more often lately is this: Mauk missed a 5 yard timing route. He sucks and this team can't win more than 6 games.

Do you see the difference?

I don't think that was the point of this thread. To some "fans" no matter how we win or how much we win, it's not good enough......nothing is good enough. Last year we went 12-2 and a lot on this forum would have been thrilled with 9-4 but what do we hear now....Steck sucks because of the SECCG.

It's just easier for some people to be negative.

I don't see anything wrong with pointing out problems and issues either, but like I've said before, there are those around here who would find something to bitch about even with 15-0 and a natty.

Hell that one dude even has "...because Mizzou" as his sig. I don't think that poster has ever said anything positive.

To each their own, but it must be a miserable existence to never be happy about anything, and constantly wanting more. Unfortunately, for those types, if/when Mizzou wins something, they won't enjoy it because they'll be worried about winning another one.

the complainers would start complaining we aren't good enough to win back 2 back instead of celebrating.

Actually that is the only thing they would be happy with. Although there would be lots of bitching leading up to it. And then they would be the first ones to tell you how great Pinkel and Mauk are and how they knew it all along.

Yes. I feel similarly.

And while I don't share their level of dissatisfaction, I don't want to see them squelched either.

Everyone brings something to the table and I enjoy their passion.

Yeah. But as a member of the negative club, can we at least wait until something goes wrong before we proclaim the heavens are falling? We won by 20. No one got injured significantly. Next up.

As someone who can go NegaTiger in less than three seconds I concur.

It's just not time to go there yet.

So you are upset that a side board of the SEC rant has too many negative opinions? Leave now, this site will not be favorable to you if that's your opinion.

BTW, a negative opinion doesn't make someone not a fan

not sure why you are complaining about here in comparison to "there", that place seems to be a koolaid drunken orgy of all things Mizzou are great and excuses for anything that isn't. are you sure you wouldn't rather have that than rational discussion?

tigerboard is a cesspool of negative, knee-jerking nancies who do nothing but complain at any hint of imperfection. there is no real discussion there.

that is how this place is starting to look.

strange, whenever I look that way I see a bunch of people who say Mizzou is a shoe in for a repeat trip to ATL, "this time will be different" and can't wait to build a statue of Gary Pinkel.

Guess things have changed.

For whatever it's worth, any review of the game I had was simply looking at things that I hope are improved through the year. Bottom line was I was still giddy to get the season started, a win is a win and that far outweighs any concerns I have with the team. Within that context, yepp, I'm guilty of pointing to things that can be better or I hope improve. Sometimes it's hard to convey it on a message board that one is still excited about the team/season starting while also pointing to things that need work.

No doubt, some are genuinely not pleased and so be it. My suggestion...let all of us with good things jump in with positive posts. All the positives to be taken from the game.

I haven't been around here much for a couple months, but this place does seem different. I don't remember there being quite as much bickering as I have seen lately.

Opinions are fine.

That's why we all come here.

I think some of us are just tired of the shtick from some folks in the fan base.

I was pissed after 2012, but last year more than made up for it. I'll be pissed if we shite the bed this year, but I'm not gonna start bitching after game one when it was obvious what the gameplay was out there.

Steck is clueless vs the option and that is the problem. I am not a negative poster but to point out weaknesses is not being negative. How any Tiger fan could be down with last year though is a true head scratcher.
