Friends from way back but how good of friends. Bama seems to be recruiting Missouri with a whole lot of enthusiasm lately.
Hentges last year. Scales this year. Tyler the kicker from Nixa who pledged to FSU. I saw a Powermizzou feature on Jaevon McQuitty 2017 from Columbia who said Bama has invited him to a camp this July and he is going.
The state of Missouri high school football produces only a few D1 level players a year. Why is the Devil spending so much time up here when Florida and Georgia are right next door? Is the Devil telling/showing HCGP I can have anything I want went I want it (when it is college football related) ?? Did HCGP take a gal away from The Devil at Kent State?? Why oh why is the Devil mining Missouri talent ??

Because if he can take a player you want and the guy is good, it's a double win for him. If the guys just sits behind other guys and transfers out after 2 years, it's still a win for him because that kid didn't go to Mizzou and never will.

Bama does not recruit 3 star out of state players unless they are legacies. No reason to for Bama. Taking a 3 star from his friend seems funny

Maybe Saban realizes that a GP 3 star isn't really a 3 star?
In other word GP goes after 3 stars he knows are coachable.
Saban isn't dumb, a coachable 3 star might bear more fruit than an uncoachable 4 or 5 star.

It's mostly about switching conferences.
5yrs ago, we'd be talking about the Devil Stoops. Big Game Bob hasn't had the same kind of presence these days in Missouri.
But nothing has really changed. Instead of OU, it's now Bama.
