Ventura shouldn't have done what he did.
He flinched like a little bitch when someone ran up on him right at the start of all of that.
The entire 'brawl' was a joke. Baseball players should be as ashamed of themselves as soccer players who lay on the ground for no reason. These baseball fights are some of the gayest things to witness.
I like the fire in the Royals. It's a good thing. But they're a little too Nygger Morgan.

Easy chief.
I do like the Royals developing a distinct identity. Will help their marketing, too.

The last page or so screams Napoleonic complex by Royals fans.
The hate and bitterness is really one sided. It's weird.

Ventura needs to get his emotions in check. If a suspension doesn't wake his arse up, I'm not opposed to sending his arse back to the minors for a couple weeks to let him think about it. The message needs to be sent by the Royals that it's time to grow up and act like the ace they need. Sometimes the only thing that get's through to a player is him not playing (in the majors in his case).

We'll see what happens. So far Cains been hit 4 times, Moose and Hosmer 5 times this season. Some of those times were squared up in the leg or back. It has to stop. It's put one player Rios on the DL with a broken hand. Pitchers need to get the message if you can't effectively pitch inside and keep from hitting batters, you're gone. That goes for our pitchers also. Guthrie is one of the worst. If this doesn't end, I'm afraid what may wind up happening is MLB will come down with new rules to stop or curb some of the out of control slides and pitches to protect players from each other. They did this with catchers covering home plate. I can see a time coming when take out slides will be illegal. The hit batters thing is more complicated if you get into trying to figure out the intent, if you get rid of intent, and just enforce a rule of first time it's a warning and second time you're gone, it takes the guessing out of enforcing the rule.
I agree on Ventura. I don't see them sending him to the minors though. They just need to let the dust settle. This postponement of playing today may help the team regroup. But don;t get me wrong, I still don't want to see this team try to change who they are. They are still the cute and fuzzy team from last year, they just had to show some teeth because some don't play well with others. I hope Yost recognizes this and doesn't try overhauling attitudes on this team. The only thing I would say to them is don't change the way you play, but when that third out is tallied, straight to the dugout. But keep playing the game the way they have been. When a batter gets hit, Yost needs to be up the umpires arse. It's much less harmful to the team if Yost gets the boot than his players getting suspended by the league.
As far as Robin Ventura. He could have stopped some of what was going on with the heckling. He knew what was going on. All he had to do was walk the dugout and tell his players to shut up or take a shower, or both. But Robin being the prick he is, let it boil. He's has been a first rate jackass when he was a player and now that he's a HC. I thoroughly enjoy watching Nolen Ryan beat his arse when Robin charged the mound. I may just have to go over to youtube and watch it again. Robins not a very good coach but he was a hell of a player. I'll give him that.

What? Was that coming on to strong? I thought it was pretty mild. So we have a Cards fan coming into a Royals thread and drops a turd. I just wanted to throw it back at him. No harm no foul. I'll admit the gif that followed was priceless.

I'm glad someone outside of the fanbase still likes us.

Not emotion, it's my "edge". Don't mess with the "edge".

Just keep in mind guys. It's a KC thread, not a KC versus STL thread guys.

Well, it's clear at least for now, all this bullcrap these teams are pulling has come to fruition. They have gotten the Royals off their game. Numerous baserunning errors, Moose has an error, Duffy throwing error. Gordo is the only one keeping this thing together with that fantastic foul ball/Soxfan body check yesterday along with a homerun. It was epic.
This team needs to get back to their disfunctional, don't fit in baseball selves. They have lost their edge. For now. Screw these critics. Get back to what got this going.

It was more for us Cards fans. Good natured ribbing is cool. Just didn't want people to start getting pissed cuz it was KC thread.

We need to get off the losing streak. That Moose boot yesterday killed us!
Let's go scalp some Indians.

I know. I just answered because it looked like you were not getting too much participation from the few cards fans in here.
Now back to regular programming.

Yes it did. It was right after the Gordo body check super suplex he layed on that sox fan. Went from a high high to a low low and a never ending inning.
Scalping some injuns would be too nice. We need another brawl. I say turn Ventura loose on the mound tomorrow. Hey, we've fought every other team but the twins, and that's comming, might as well fight the injuns.

I was strictly ribbing. No offense meant.
Jafo's fired up! And should be. They're off to a great start.
I'm actually surprised no sig bets were made this year.
Of course with Waino out it wouldn't be right to start now.

Great bounce-back win. Is......is Moose for real? I really wanna believe that he's fixed...
Posted on 4/28/15 at 6:43 am to KCM0Tiger
I think he's not trying to hit every ball over the fence this year. I think those will come though. I always liked moose.
