I just found it on Amazon. Liked it better than the options in the local stores.

Looks like '47 Brand

What the hell was Yost thinking by sitting Moustakas and Hosmer today?! Stupid stupid stupid. I understand getting Kendrys Morales in but move Hosmer to right field instead of bringing back Rios on a day like today. The team is in an offensive rut and sitting Hosmer and Moustakas will not help that.

I think the team is just in a hitting funk. They will be there at the end. The twins are paeaking at the wrong time. If there is.no let up on their part, kudos to them. But I think they will start to stumble at some point.

I have to agree about the Twins. I just don't see them sustaining.

Agreed. Some regression to the mean was bound to occur, IMO.

1. Let's hope the game gets played tonight. It is raining like crazy here.
2. Um, hello, offense are you there!?

Looks like they will get it in. I don't know if the offense will show up tonight.

I still think the offense is there. The talent is still there. I think the approach other teams have made has changed drastically. They have put emphasis on getting the Royals to chase pitches out of the strike zone taking advantage of their aggressive style. Thing is, these hitters either seem to not be able to adjust during games. At some point with a hot pitcher, you have to start playing small ball. You have to be patient at the plate and dink and doink your way on base. Work their frustration level up to where they start challenging your hitters, then they will start squaring up on some balls. That's kind of what happened to start the season. Opposing pitchers were trying to go right at the Royals batters and getting lit up. So they tried intimidation and found KC wasn;t going to take any crap. Then they started trying to pitch around them, along about the second game with the Twins. Now those games where the Royals exploded, those pitchers tried to go straight at them or just had bad outings.

Baseball is a game of ups and downs, hot and cold. It's just the cycle. All I can expect right now is for KC to keep pace, stay within striking distance. Then peak at the right time. I still believe this team hasn't really hit the playoff gear. They hit it last year. Players were getting clutch hits and homers. Killer defense and knock out pitching with a shut down bullpen. Post season requires to up your game. They proved they can do that. I think they can do that again once they prove to themselves they still have it and adjust to their approach at the plate.

Hey, how bout this All-Star voting? 5 Royals so far leading for starting positions. I try to vote as often as I can and use all 35 or 36 vote entries. 2 trailing by only a few votes. I hope Morales gets in there. He deserves it.

We are fortunate that Minny and Detroit are scuffling at the present time. Tonight is THE night boys. We are gonna get back on track and start hitting the cover off the ball yet again.

I hope.

I'm right there with ya. Still a young team learning. I think yost is about to scream today. It's up to the players to put what the coaches are telling them into practice. Still swinging at crap pitches.

I feel so bad for Ned sometimes

Decent little stretch from KC here, though.

Hopefully they get the brooms out tomorrow

It's got to be frustrating leaving scoring opportunities out there. They need to get back their timely hitting.

Dem 7 Royals are getting it together just in time. The pigeons are up next.

How'd yah like the Hunter meltdown? That ump had a sporatic floating stike zone all night, called it pretty even really for both sides. Man, Hunter just totally lost it.

I always think it's hilarious when baseball players/managers lose it

But I think Torii was justified, tbh. Always frustrating for players when the ump floats the zone around like that.

Hunter was also skeert o' dat broom, doe

It was definitely not a strike ha and was VERY entertaining. The guys on MLB Tonight said it was only the 9th time he has been tossed in his 19 year career. They thought it was his 2nd or 3rd time this year.

Oh wow.

Yeah, you know the call was probably bunk when a player who so rarely steps afoul loses it like that

I'll take it, tho!
