Couple of previews

Matter

Morrison

Will be interesting to see who emerges at WR, at DE and what combination we'll use on the OL. A starting safety spot is up for grabs as well and of course how much will the scheme change on defense.

ETA Practice starts today

Looks like Sherrils will get the first crack at SS. I like it!

Kind of wish Bauer were working in at a guard spot. I'm guessing they're looking at him taking over for Boehm.

Browning would of had first dibs, but he's out with an injury.

Lots of guys on the OLine have put on some weight, I'll trust good weight. The ones that jumped out at me though were Fairchild (from 275 to 295) and Crawford (from 285 to 300). One of the services had Owen at 265. Depth chart has him at 280.

My eyes are going. Help me out. Does it list Charles Harris at 255? If so, that's up from 235 listed on the last depth chart.

It does say that. HOLY CRAP!!!!

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

ETA - And it looks like Harris has, in fact, put on 20 more pounds. I'll trust that is all good weight in his case.

Right, but I'm glad to see Sherrils get this chance. We have more talented players than Browning. Hope they don't start him simply because he is a SR.

And yes, they finally list Augusta at the right weight. Wow

Damn! I really like Ross. Hopefully he heals up well, we have as good a medical staff for that kind of injury as there is in the country.

So can he get yet another year through a medical redshirt or is next year just a loss for him?

Connor McGovern asked if there was talk of moving him back to tackle this spring: "I hope not." Said MU wants to ride with the ones it has.

Kentrell Brothers says Barry Odom has talked about his 3-4 defense, including a "Dawg" 4th LB position that is more a defensive end type.

McGovern said you could also see on film that, if they let Maty Mauk get hit early last year, he lost some faith in the pocket.

McGovern: "The cleaner we keep Maty, the better it is for everybody."

The Med RS rulings are kind of confusing, but based on my understanding he would not qualify.

Sounds like they expect him to play anyway. Probably kills any chance he had at starting though, as small as that was.
