Has anyone had heard anything about IF Rhoades has signed off on the south end zone project for sure, when the details of the project will be announced, etc? It kinda sounds like the extent of the project may just be Pinkel's requested FB offices, weight room, training rooms, etc.....

Rhoades had talked some about all the projects a couple weeks ago. If I recall, the "masterplan" for all the improvements/new facilities was just relatively recently approved by the board. I don't remember specifics about the south end zone though.

He did a Google hangout last week with Pinkel. While on there he mentioned that he had met with the architects a couple weeks prior to that.

Need to raise some moneys to pay for them. Around $200 million.

That is for all the projects included on the master plan at this point.

I'd Really like to see us make a horseshoe, enclosing the South end zone. Maybe add some more luxury suites to keep seats down.

We've never consistently had 71k, so I don't feel a need to add seats, but It would be nice to close it off for sound and look.

THIS. Even if the connector section is all suites at least it will look awesome and always seemed packed, even if it isn't.

Also I'd like to see them completely close off the Grass area, it looks like SHITE when there's people awkwardly sitting on it.

welcome to 1978, and yes, before you ask, I was there..

before:

after:

you would have been amazed how absolutely beautiful the stadium was looking down the field from the hill at all those trees in the fall that were clearly visible from the open south end.

Last I heard the architects are still trying to figure out what can be done, visa vie a complete tear down do over vs a partial remodel and add on. Naturally the cost of what each are will be a factor.

I would love to see a big rock a a as a vertical water feature on the north side. Shrink the grass area in and add more seats. Personally.
