Some coaches are worried about the Mizzou job because....

.....they are worried about the racial climate. Listen to the podcast to get more from Scott Roussel from FootballScoop.com. He recommends the coach at Toledo. Don't forget the Georgia and LSU jobs might come open and that will knock Mizzou even further down the list. Personally I believe Mizzou is going to stay in the family as usual and hire Odom and save some money and keep the same thing going. I really belive Odom would bring the Memphis offense if he doesn't keep Henson.

Listening to the podcast he is suppose to get interviews with coaches and not use third party info. The podcast is very interesting.

I don't know if I buy this completely. If Georgia and LSU are open, there's two really good coaches in play as well. Proven winners. If those two coaches were to take (just for fun) the South Carolina and SCw jobs, how does that change anything?

Matt Campbell from Toledo would be a good hire. Odom would give a better chance at one thing an outside hire could not. That's stability for the program. I don't think you could really go wrong with either one though.

You have to really give Odom a look because of the defense. You promote Kul to DC. You keep that connection going on defense. This team is not a train wreck. It has a great defense that a lot of under classmen who are getting a good amount of playing time.
It lacks an OC with some creativity. Get Christensen back. If you cannot get him then I am sure there are 5-10 OC's at smaller colleges that would love to come to an SEC team and run the offense

Recruiting needs to improve, especially out of state.
Hiring Odom does nothing to change that.
Dave Christiansen was a clown, Chase Daniel saved his job, and got him a gig at wyoming. He owes Chase, half of what he got at Wyoming.
Talk about a coach who was clueless once the other team adjusted, he and Eberflus were completely clueless once their game plans didnt work.
So do we hire Odom to keep the same ole, same ole?

Why rebuild when all you have to do is get a creative OC.

Odom does help that. I live in Memphis and I am very surprised how the radio personalities have raved about Odom and how he was able to get so many relationships with the local and Mississippi high school coaches.
It is not an over whelming feeling from the media down here but some of the media believes we will trade Odom for Fuente. Hopefully we can keep Kul.

Recruiting is not going to improve until we improve facilities, fan support, donor base etc.

Unfortunately those things don't come until we start winning again.
