According to stories in the KC star and Post dispatch he will try to get us back to the KU rivalry. LINK

Question is, do we really want to plat the lowlife beakers again?

I say no. I would rather play illini or nebraska for a rivalry game.

In basketball, yes.

In football....well...what's the point. We'd be criticized for our OOC schedule being too weak.

I think we should only because it is the only series in the Country that actually has historical roots in American History. It is not just a sporting series, it is the reminder of actual battle.

I'll allow it. We could use a cupcake on the schedule. Maybe for Homecoming.

He could give my child a kidney and I would still not have respect for a man who attends our fine university and cheers for the beakers basketball team. Piece of trash.

Absolutely. It is one of the best college rivalries in the entire country. That is just a fact. Guys who fought each other in the Civil War watched as their sons and grandsons played on the gridiron and hardwood. Anyone who says "nah", simply doesn't care about traditions or history. Nothing wrong with that, except that those things are what make college sports great. (I imagine those are the same people who say Homecoming is "just another football weekend" too)

As for "schedule" argument, I'll give you that. But I don't want any cupcakes on the schedule. I want 3 P5 opponents to go along with the conference schedule. Illinois, kansas, and Nebraska. Heck, rotate Colorado and the other Big 8 foes on too.

These money grab cupcake games are a bunch of horseshite to me.

What does Michigan Ohio State signify?

If we can be more ballsy with our schedule and play two P5 teams a year, I would love to play Nebraska home-and-home every year.

Beating the Chickenhawks in an NFL stadium is just boring to me. It's an automatic W and I would find it quite embarrassing if KU would be our only P5 non-con. We might as well be playing two FCS games.

As for Illini, hell to the no. That has to be the least interesting rivalry ever. Lovie could spice it up, but it would take a while to shake the boredom off of the Arch Rivalry.

They would both be boring. The only way I would be interested is if we move these games out of KC and St Louis and keep them in CoMo/lawrence,Champaign

Ohio and Michigan had a border dispute in the 1800s.

The hate is strong and natural up there

The beakers should only be allowed to play their away game with Mizzou in Columbia, Mo. If Mizzou wants to make a statement about the SEC, schedule an SEC game in Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

By the way, to call ku a P5 team is a complete absurdity.

It's a huge money maker. Of course we want it. Good for Columbia, Kansas City and all fans. Also, it is a time of turmoil at Mizzou and everyone can redirect their hate with each other to kU. Unity in common hate.

Put my asbestos suit on.

I actually know Tim Kaine. Went to HS and Mizzou. He was class president in HS, and I had an Econ class with him at Mizzou.

Tim was on the 3yr plan while I was on the 5yr plan. Never saw him at the parties or bars. He went on the Harvard Law School.

Nice guy, didn't have any enemies. He grew up on the kansas side and went to Mizzou to get an education, while many of us had other diversions.

He's got two younger brothers, both living in KC, one is a doctor at Childrens Mercy. At least one nephew is at kU right now.

I'm sure he's well indention, but he's been on the east coast since 1980.
