So, is this team actually worse than last year?

I didn't think it was possible, but I say yes.

Last year we never lost by more than 25.

I say yes. All our games were somewhat competitive minus Arkansas

It's hard to really compare.
As an apples to apples comparison, they're worse.

I think last year's team would win like 9-3 or something. If we could schedule such a game in some type of alternate universe.

Its going to be a rough year I can't lie. I survived the 4-8 and 3-9 seasons and the good news is that you just kind of go numb at a certain point.

So, basketball season starts up in a few weeks. Think KA has turned the corner this year? Its looking like a NIT or NCAA tourney or bust for Mike here.

We may end up with as bad a record in basketball as the last two years.

You are never as bad as you look nor as good as you think you are. Having said that when your young quarter back is 4-19 passing for 39 yards and 2 pick 6's the reality is you aren't going to win many games.

Matty Mauk didn't do ole Mizzou any favors.

Do people realize that last years offense was one of the worst in Mizzou history? Last year's schedule was also much easier.

@WVU (undefeated still)
@LSU
@Florida
@Tennessee

That's a brutal road schedule for anyone.

I'm not worried about the W/L record.

This team is lost.

Yes! No better descriptor of our current football debacle...and in only four words.

While our schedule is indeed tougher we are not even competing the last two weeks. LSU set an all time LSU record for yards last week and this week we throw for 39 yards. Last year could hang its hat on one of the top defenses in the SEC, this year we have??????? OK found one we have a great punter.

A lesser D and a slightly better O. Like it or not, we didn't put up big numbers even against the cream puffs last year. This year, the O showed signs until they played top defenses. They're still light years away from being an effective O however.

The D is more troubling because I think we only lost 2, maybe 3 guys from that D and should be better than we've shown against teams that have not had stellar offenses this year.
