Seems Like We Should Care

When we joined the SEC, I assumed games against Arkansas (especially with ex-CMA at the helm) would be the closest thing we could get to a hoops rivalry.
Instead, I'm debating if watching the first half will deprive me of too much sleep.
To quote Jason Isbell, "those were different days."

Basketball has tanked. We're we any good, we would care. We're we both good, we would really care.
It's quite sad what's happened to our hoops program. Worse than the losses, the apathy that has set in.
What time is tip?

What channel is it on?I was thankful the last game wasn't on SEC Network.

SEC Network. 8:00 tip-off for you landlubbers, 9:00 for us civilized folk.

Is it bad I didn't even know we had a game today? I used to watch every game religiously, sad times.

Thank God I don't live in Eastern time zone.Hate all the games starting and ending an hour later when I traveled there.

2006 World Series almost killed me.

Yes and you should feel bad. Now print out the damn schedule and pay attention.
In 2 yrs max they'll be really good & you'll be saying how you watched these guys as FR & SO.

Why do that when I have you guys to tell me when it's on! LOL

Ok this is getting a little ridiculous. I completely agree with the stress that comes with being a mizzou basketball fan. And I know these are hard times, but how in the world do you guys not know we play arky today. This is essentially the only game that matters since we're so bad.

Just got on Stubhub, wondering if it's worth making a trip to the Arena tonight...two kids at home and work the next morning means it will be an awfully long night, but $7 tickets are hard to pass up.
Plus, both teams are most definitely in rebuilding mode so I'd be shocked if it's not a really close game.
I'll probably stay home and watch.

No sick days left?As a sports fan in general I refuse to live in that time zone.Turned down jobs before because I hate it that much.Back in 2006 all the World Series games started later too.Would have killed me if I missed the end of those games because I was in bed.
On the flip side, I loved living in Pacific time zone years ago. While there are some 9:00 AM start times, most of the other games are over with by 8:00 at night.

I believe first pitch for those games was some ridiculous time like 8:47 p.m. At the time, I had to be on the road to work by 5:15 a.m.

Yikes.A few years ago MLB moved up the start times for all the World Series games. At least in 2006 and 2011 the Cardinals clinched on a Friday night, so fans everywhere could stay up late and celebrate.

I didn't know because no one is talking about it. There's one thread here about the game tonight, and one posted this afternoon on PM. There's no excitement around it, so I don't pay attention to it. If you think it's bad among those of us who would be considered fanatics, imagine how it will be with the average fan. I wouldn't be surprised if there's less than 5000 at the game tonight.

Someone probably should have told our players and coaches we had a game tonight.

See this is why I didn't pay attention. I actually watched the game and it was the worst I've seen in years. Worst home loss since 1957 according to twitter. Maybe you're right about them being good in a few years, but that will be when we get a real coach, no the D2 hack we have now. The wired segment was flat embarrassing listening to him say nothing to the team.
