KC has moved the starting rotation around. Instead of Duffy tomorrow, it'll be Volquez. Then Sunday it'll be Ventura. Duffy was.experiencing a tight shoulder.

Welp. That's a win! Rest of the series should be a good.

Just got home from the game...great time! Still a lot more red than I'd like to see, but certainly less than years past! Go Royals!!

Our starting pitching has been real good lately. If it comes around like the Royals expected the pitching to be, watch out, we are the best team in baseball.

With the Royals starting rotation changing for saturday/sunday, this is a very winnable series. I would go as far as to say a possible sweep.

I'll just leave this here. You may have the overal for right now, but the insecurities of cards fans are starting to show. All I can say is you may have the overal wins, but we got the one win that counts in that catagory.....1985. We are back, deal with it.
It's nice to see a bandwagon filling up again after a three decade hibernation. Enjoy.

I can't speak for others, but I never was off the band wagon. I was born the same year as this team. I grew up watching this organization. I have been a fan all the way through. Been discusted with it as well as elated. No band wagoner here. Have always been a Royals fan and always will be.

I'm just messing with you.
I used to love watching the Royals teams, from Mayberry and Patek to George Brett and Saberhagen. Amos Otis, Frank White, Willie Wilson. A lot of great players and teams.
And the greatest gift of all... Whitey Herzog. The sharpest baseball mind I've ever seen.
I was looking at some old stats one day at baseball-reference from the early 80s when Whitey took over in 80 or 81, they had four different people manage the club and The Rat instantly had a sub-.500 team winning. He knew how to manage a bench and a bullpen better than anyone in the game and rarely boxed himself in (which unfortunately Matheny does regularly). He regularly schooled managers with superior talent (like Davey Johnson and Tommy LaSorda) and the players knew it.
The Rat's only weakness was that he was a bit of a fatalist. If something went wrong he'd have a tendency to see it as fate and throw in the towel.
Otherwise, IMO he's one of the greatest managers in the last 50 years.

True. I'm one of the few fans that have a Legacy Brick Outside Kauffman Stadium. Ordered them back in 2008, placed in 2009. Even added a lil Louisiana Flavor to it, Says "Geaux Royals", then my name. Also have one at Arrowhead with "Geaux Chiefs, name" Sad to say not many people ordered those for the Royals during the down times.

The cardinals fan that sat behind us last night was a good guy.
As far as the 2nd most hated bird mascot in my home. They got nothing for these Royals.

Damn! I didn't hear anything about a legacy brick. I feel substandard now. Crap! I honestly don't remember that.
