Scenarios to win the East:

Win out... obviously

Go 3-1 and USCe loses 1 more

Go 3-1 and USCe and UGA win out. Must beat both UT and UK.

Is that because in the event of a 3 way tie, head to head won't answer it, so they look at the record within the SEC east? I'm assuming that's why you say must beat both UT and UK.

Got you. Thanks. So we should pull for UGA over UF. Pull for UF over SC. Sound about right? And then every other SEC team over any of SC/UGA/UF.

Yup. I want UGA to beat UF. That'll light some fire under Florida's arse. They don't want to end the season with 5 losses. Don't see them beating FSU. Means the SC game is a must win.

I don't see UGA beating Auburn.

Who they have left in conference.

Mizzou: UT, @UK, @OM, A&M
SC: MSU, UF
UGA: UF, @Aub, UK
UF: UGA, Vandy, @SC

yes this is what makes the SEC East a lil more interesting than the West... as it stands I have to pull for UF OM MSU Vandy and TENN... but if you make it all the way... I'll be pulling for the tigers against the Tide/Plainsmen

I'd like to see UGA beat UF. I think UGA loses to Auburn.

Don't see how UF beats USC. That puts SC at 6-2 in conference, right, if they win.

I'd be surprised if we win out.

Yep. I'd have to say SC is probably sitting in the best position actually, even though Mizzou is currently in first. SC only has 2 conference games left and those are what matter most. And one of those is against MSU at home. The other against a UF team with no offense to speak of. I don't see them losing either.

I also don't see Mizzou winning out. Our best hope then is to go 3-1 (with the loss to either OM or A&M) and hope UGA wins out in conference to create that 3 way tie. I think UGA should be getting some of their players back for the UF game, so if they can stay healthy, there's a real possibility they could win out. At Auburn may be their toughest test but with Murray and a healthy compliment around them, I don't put it past them.

If Mizzou can win at least 2 more then that'd put them in the Cotton/outback/Cap1 Bowl spot. Win 3 more then they have a shot at the Sugar Bowl depending on who they beat and the ranking of those teams. Not bad bowl spots.

Could be like a KU/Mizzou situation. Mizzou wins Big 12 North, lose Big 12 title game, KU goes to Orange Bowl. I think Clemson beats USC...South Carolina could win SEC East, lose big in the SECCG, that could send a 2 loss Mizzou to Sugar.

This could happen if Auburn and a&m both lose another one.

For some reason I think LSU will get TAMU again. And I don't see Auburn beating Bama...we need Bama to win that game. If Auburn goes to SECCG then Bama is a clear lock for BCS Bowl...SEC Champ gets Sugar. But if Bama goes to BCS Championship game then Sugar is up for grabs.

I can't remember, can 3 conference teams go to BCS bowls if a conference member is playing in the BCS national title game??? Or is it still 2 teams from a conference.

I trust one of the scenarios in the OP will happen.
