Pride or lack of it on OL

You have to have pride in everything you do. And I do not see the OL having any pride at all.

Defense get's you to the 1 yard line the first play of the game and all you have to do is buckle down and push forward and you cannot do that !!

1st down: Lock fumbles but picks it up. Loses a yard.

2nd and 3rd down: you go backwards. A field goal is kicked.

I understand why HCGP or OCJH called those plays. It was the perfect setup to get the offense in the end zone and the OL to get some momentum and it failed miserably !!!

There is no consequences for the horrible effort, play, and execution this OL has shown. They rotate 7-8 players and none of them have done anything. Yet Rhodes, Fairchild, Pendleton, Adams, get no playing time.

Teenage boys are not the brightest star in the sky but they see this and decided Missouri is not for them. If it takes 3 years for OLinemen to figure this blocking scheme then it needs to be changed.

I don't agree with the OL not having any pride. You don't get to this level without a shitload of pride. I think we have 2 guys out of position and that's the main problem. IF you're going to have guys out of position, have the fewest possible.

Also our O-Line problems started exactly when Ricker showed up.....coincidence? Nope

There is no pride if you constantly cannot get 1-2 yards.

HCGP calls the shots. Ricker has not come in and overhauled the system. This is lack of pride and HCGP's playing seniors on the OL instead of the best player. Hall, McNulty, Chappell should not be playing. Period.

To be fair to the OL, although they really don't deserve it, a I wouldn't really put that series on them. Lock fumbled the snap on the first play, the second play actually gained two, and the third play was supposed to be optioned out to a pass but Lock missed the read.

Pinkel says Missouri has played two of the country's top 10 defensive lines in the last two weeks. Florida, yes. Not sure UGA qualifies.

I sure hope someone called GP out on this bullshite.

Just frickin' own up to the fact that we're not playing well and move on. UGA a top 10 dline? All due respect to my UGA brethren, good but not a top 10 in the nation.

Instead of playing the bullshite line of UGA has a top 10 dline, GP could have gone this route:

Now we are blowing a coach that lost a game 55-0?

Damn, I know the season is not going well but come on. Would yall be talking about what a great gesture it was had we lost 55-0?

Who cares what he says? Georgia has a good front. They kicked out OLs arse most of the night. You want coach to come out and say "we suck"? I mean, would that make you feel better?

He's trying to remain positive and not let this season go completely off the rails.

Lol.

Snyder.

C'mon man.

I respect your posts T74, but really?

To the OP, there's no lack of pride, only a lack of execution. If there truly are three guys on this line that are NFL worthy, then we know where the real problem stands.

I respect owning it instead of coming up with bullshite excuses. UGA line is very good. Not top 10 good.

Did anyone notice, when Lock dropped straight back to pass over the middle, and the OL had the simple scheme of straight up blocking, they did very well. We get into trouble when moving Lock, and trying to scheme the blocking. Plus late in the 2nd quarter we attacked the middle and moved at will. They lost their starting safety to targeting, buy we never attacked a freshman over the middle.

The only real problem is our guards are terrible. Inside pressure is impossible for a QB to deal with. You can step up to get away from outside pressure, inside pressure? Nowhere to go, we saw this 10 times on Saturday.

There are some very good replies on this thread.

Snyder has nothing to do with our situation other than his team was beaten badly. Then he wrote his letter.

Snyder literally OWNS Pinkel head-to-head. I love what Pinkel has done for ol' Mizzou and he's my man. But Snyder is a better coach, period.

Remote I agree with you almost all the time, but Snyder would have been great at Mizzou, yeah I know he ran it up on us in the 90's/early 00's but the guy is pretty classy. As some have said the problem is clearly at OG, Hall is soft and Chappell/Abelen should never see the field at a P5 D ! program

Mizzou has gotta step it up or they're gonna be spending Christmas in Shreveport and trust me you don't want that

I think Mr. Vincent is being a bit generous.

Snyder is a pretend good guy that people have annointed a saint because he coaches football. No thanks.
