This is floating on PM, several posters are mentioning they have heard this rumor. We all have a great example of rumors being false this past week, so take it with a grain of salt. Definitely worth mentioning though.

Personally I would be ecstatic. Promote Odom and let's rollllllllllllllll

Looks like the "professional protestor" in town that is helping organize this thing has now turned her focus on him.

@Nettaaaaaaaa: Did you think no one would ever hear this interview @GaryPinkel? LINK #ConcernedStudent1950

@Nettaaaaaaaa: You also referenced this movement at Mizzou as being started by a guy who was "sick" @GaryPinkel. "Sick" as in what? And who?

@Nettaaaaaaaa: This interview makes me feel as if @GaryPinkel joined the black players just to save face. I honestly don't think you give a damn about them

@Nettaaaaaaaa: Did you join, force the other players to join to try to get their boycott over with as fast as possible @GaryPinkel? #ConcernedStudent1950

@Nettaaaaaaaa: Black players refusing to play football not only was a out to frick up @mizzou's big money, but yours too huh @GaryPinkel? Got it.

@Nettaaaaaaaa: You support your black players but you don't support the cause?! That's not support @GaryPinkel #ConcernedStudent1950

We'll be back in the dark ages if GP goes this weekend. Kiss the recruiting class goodbye, too. If we could get the Houston or Memphis coaches then I'd be OK with it, but I doubt they'd want to come to this mess.

Serves him right, turn your back on the hand that feeds you, and before you know it everyone is gone. When everyone is gone the protection you potentially had left with it.

Odom is the answer, and he's already in place. Hopefully this situation hasn't soured him, but a few weeks ago Missouri was head and toes a better option than Memphis. Today? Hard to say truthfully, and anyone who tries to argue that isn't seeing the reality of this.

And that's what you get when you ride a crocodile.

The crocodile eats you.

Know why?

It's a fricking crocodile.

If he couldn't see this coming, he doesn't have any business in leadership.

As for Netaaaaa, you got a white patsy to lay down for you and you want to kill him professionally. You don't have an end game. You're an idiot.

Pretty much. Pissed off the boosters for letting the boycott happen/supporting it. Pissed off administrators for his lackluster response. Pissed off the protest for saying he didn't support it. Pissed off boosters again when he sounded like a dumbarse on the 810 interview.

Don't know if there is anyone left.

Is every one at Mizzou going to resign or is some one going to finally have some backbone?

If he really wants to have his players back he will stay instead of tucking his tail and running because some one posted mean things on twitter.

If GP steps down I doubt you could get anyone worth a shite from the outside to walk into that hornets nest. I feel sorry for you guys this week.

White flight comes to the state university.

Repeat after me: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Thank you. They'll get a coach, but not some big time coach. Just like Mizzou didn't get a big time coach for basketball...see how that turned out.

I thought all along they were coming after him next. This group wants an African American as the head football coach. If GP leaves we will not get a good football coach to replace him. All of this might have bought Kim Anderson some additional time though because who want want to come in and be our basketball coach? They might hang with him longer.

That is a different story altogether...we went after Gregg Marshall, but he said he wasn't leaving until his kid graduated HS....which is why he is still there.

This situation has become toxic. No one worth a shite would touch that job if he steps down.

$4 million/year gets you someone pretty decent.

First call is to Memphis
Second is to Houston
Third call is to Odom
4th is to Pep Hamilton, was Luck's college and Pro OC, up until a couple weeks ago.
