I'm sad she is still employed by a school whose reputation was built in part by years of defending and practicing the first amendment. I'm disappointed leadership did not have a box at her office 5 minutes after that video was released.
BTW - Dean of Journalism released a statement saying Click's relationship with the SOJ is under review and praised the way the journalist in the video handled himself. He's a student!

Melissa Click resigned her courtesy appointment at a meeting with J School heads before a vote could be held to rescind it. They're considering things in the Mass Comm dept, as I understand it.
She is also apparently receiving death and rape threats. MUPD is on it. WTF is wrong with people?

My wife is Comm professor. They know many of the same people and have been at different events together. Most people my wife has talked to or post on Facebook messenger think she is a hack. That's why she is still an assistant professor. Most think she will be fired for cause.

What's the over/under on how many Mizzou employees eventually lose their jobs because of this? I say around 10.
So far the only one I agree with is Melissa Click (hopefully she get's canned). But the President and Chancellor are both forced to resign, and now certain students are asking for professors to be fired because they are still having class tomorrow as planned.
I don't want anyone to be scared because of threats that people are making, and I certainly don't want anyone hurt, but you can't fire the entire staff and faculty at Mizzou due to these protests.
