Where are they gonna end up? My guess Perkins and Alton end up on the defensive side. Wingo I suspect stays on offense if Hilton is switching back to defense. Don't know enough about Mason who'll probably redshirt anyways.

Thoughts? Hearing anything?

After what Hilton showed as a true Freshman, I would love to see him stay in the slot. In 2017 the kid from KSU will be eligible and he has game experience, so safety seems covered pretty well.

Slot has plenty of options as well. Had JJ not injured himself last fall he would have played, and Hilton wouldn't have switched to WR.

Also Hilton may start this year at Saftey, it's also likely that Sherrils goes pro after this season.

I don't see why Hilton cant do a little of both. He's really smart, I don't see playbooks being a big issue for him.

I'd like to see Perkins at CB. His length and recovery speed are a tough out if Brown can turn potential in to consistent technique. Same with Alton and Acy.

Mason makes sense at FS to me.

Greg Taylor hitting camp as expected gives the staff some freedom with Hilton. Unless Wingo's hands are better, Hilton is a better option in the slot.

The initial talk was that Alton would be a CB. Mizzou seems interested in going with bigger backs and Alton isn't a large guy so DB makes sense.

I don't think you can go wrong stacking athletes up at corner. For as much as everyone gushes about the offenses of the other conferences, the SEC has put more WRs in the draft than any other conference over the last 5 years by a wide margin.

Despite what the fans may sneeringly say the SEC is a very adaptable conference. Florida shows that a downhill power option spread team can work? Other SEC schools don't blink before adding elements of it. Missouri shows that you can mix a spread offense with a solid defense to wear down opponents? Half the time its what Bama runs now.

Putting top notch athletes wide, either as corners or WRs, is a very smart move. You never have enough talent to cover all those positions... well unless you are Bama, USC, Ohio State, or one of those other schools that can't walk out their front door without tripping over a 5 star recruit. So the more athletic you are there the better your chances are.

I am interested to see what Brown does with his position group. Ford had a few guys that played well but his position group was one of the more inconsistent groups of the last 16 years. Technique and communication always seemed questionable.

Did they give Wingo the choice of which side of the ball he plays on? I know the coaches gave him a choice when they first moved him to slot but does he want to stay there now?
