who was the last TRUE freshman RB to have as good of a season as Crockett is having?

I honestly can't recall off the top of my head. Seems most RB's redshirt, or did under GP. Maybe I'm not remembering that correctly though.

As an aside, and not that he's playing outstanding, but I've thought Garrett has done a solid job as a true freshman playing MLB.

I'm a fan of DC; reminds me of James Wilder. I was a bit uneasy earlier in the season with his ball security issues but I really like the kid. Too bad he'll never get to play in a tear-away jersey; would be fun to watch.

I know I'm in the minority but I like the way Ish is running the ball this year. He rarely runs east/west and he delivers an initial hit when he's about to be tackled; he even knocked himself out Sat but came back in the next series.

Agree about Garrett; he's playing his butt off.

I do think witter is running better than years past. I also give him credit for relatively quietly doing what he can do. But I am excited about 3 more years of DC. Think I read he's the only true freshman with 3 100 yard games in Mizzou history

Murphy, Josey, Washington, Witter & Temple all played as true freshman under GP.

Interesting.

If he continues to improve he'll only be here 2 more years.
