Thankfully Mizzou and A&M are now in the most stable conference with the best traditions, most national respect, and outrageous financial benifits

Dang we came out smelling like roses, now we get to just sit back and watch the cockroaches scramble

Oklahoma was just as guilty. When SWC and Big 8 merged, Oklahoma abandoned it's Big 8 roots, especially Nebraska to become Texas's long term butt buddy.

This is why the Big 12 became an expanded SWC instead of an expanded Big 8.

Agree 100%. I could stomach oklahoma a little more than texas, but their behavior enabled and supported texas. I still remember Boren's press conference where he pre-empted Brady Deaton. Such a prick move. They were way more concerned about oklahoma than anyone else, and they learned that behavior from texas. They may not be as evil, but they're just as greedy and guilty. That approach is SO opposite to how the SEC operates, it's just not a fit. I say no to both.

If the SEC expands they will probably go for North Carolina and Virgnia Tech.

Bring two more East teams into the league that would allow Mizzou to go in the West with probably Kentucky.

Yes, we did. I definitely feel sorry for some of the teams still stuck there. Iowa State, kansas State, maybe Okie Lite, even Texas Tech. They are the ones who are likely to get totally screwed when the big 12 collapses. All thanks to texas with oklahoma's help.

On our way out the door, if I remember correctly, Mizzou shared the contract revisions texas offered to get us to stay, and tried to force them to offer that same deal to everyone else. We tried to help. It's just so dysfunctional it's beyond saving, I'm afraid.

There is a universal principle of arrogance that when one views itself of higher innate value than others their actions will reflect this over time. Texans as a whole are the most elitist state in the county.

For example in reading that last sentence every Texan will autocorrect that and say, "We are a republic you idiot not a mere state." The University of Texas, which views itself as the flagship will carry that arrogance eternally. They could form their own blue blood conference and still be upset that they aren't shown special treatment and achnowledgement. It's the Texas way. They cannot be reformed. Consider this, some of their most ignorant and arrogant foot stomping has come during this mediocre football streak of 2010 to present. Truly unparalleled foolishness.

Texas sez jump, Oklahoma sez "how high?" and Kansas hastens to add "we'll cushion the fall!".

It seems an "interesting" conference, sez I, as the Chinese mean interesting.
