Probably mad because they lost to University of Houston. Okie and Texas are destroying that conference. I honestly think that Okie and Texas want into the SEC and I beg the SEC to not let Texas in, because they have destroyed the B12 and the SWC.

If Texas joins the SEC, we better be headed to the Big 10.

Can't take Texas or OU, the Regents in their states won't allow a deal that leaves Okie State or Texas Tech behind. Which is smart for the state but it hurts OU and Texas as far as moving.

My guess is Houston looks attractive now, but if Herman leaves, and Houston goes back to being Houston, the Big 12 is stuck with another weak program.

A&M supposedly couldn't move either yet here they are.

Where there's the will, there's a way.

I wouldn't want either of these programs in the SEC. I would hope, after the way they treated Mizzou in the Big 12, that our administration would oppose their membership. Of the two, I could stomach oklahoma a little easier. But texas is just a conference killer, and I would be furious if Mizzou agreed to them joining.

They're both pretty insufferable.

I would hope Mizzou would veto.
I'm pretty confident that Arkansas would.
I'm almost positive A&M would.

A&M, Mizzou, Arky, LSU would all say heck no for recruiting reasons. Florida would say no because of the agreement to not bring in anymore major programs from same states.

You are probably right. I think the teams that would not want Texas in are:

LSU
Arkansas
aTm
Mizzou

Florida probably

That is probably enough to keep them out.

Sec would gladly take oklahoma and would look for a virginia or norh carolina team, possibly west virgina.

I personally wouldn't want to see Oklahoma in the SEC. Selfishly, they would be more recruiting competition, and I'm still a bit annoyed at how they treated Mizzou in the big 12. Realistically, I question how much more money they'd bring to the conference. Oklahoma isn't a populous state, so they wouldn't add that much to the SEC Network. I don't know. Definitely not with okie lite, that would be a profit suck. I'd just rather see the conference expand to the east. Personally.

I don't want the Horns or the Sooners in here.

Texas managed to kill off a Big 12 conference that could lay claim to being the best in the nation. Oklahoma either stood by and watched or helped them.

I'd rather Arkansas leave and join Conference USA then put up with that level of BS.

Exactly! And they did their best to screw over the smaller programs. Texas is the evil one, but oklahoma went along with them, and was happy to screw over the schools they'd been conference mates with for decades. Just to suck up to texas. And the reaction when A&M and Mizzou left was just so petty. They can both suck it as far as I'm concerned.

Probably Scar and UK, too.
Really, there's so many teams that would probably be opposed to it that it won't ever make it to a real vote.

....and whenever Texas want players from the state of Texas all they have to do is promise that player or the high school that the player goes to that Texas would show some of their games on the Longhorn Network for the whole nation to see.

Texas and OU have a special relationship.

The Whorns are a battering spouse and Oklahoma is their enabling wife.

All the children who had the abiltiy to leave, have.

Meanwhile the enabling wife thinks she can't live without him and keeps fetching his beer and meals and covering the bruises, not realizing breaking the shackles will bring new life and the fresh air of freedom.

And all you can do is watch the trainwreck from afar.

Yep, they got caught lying about this TWICE and then still said Frick the rest of the big 12 we're gonna do it anyway, then the NCAA stepped in.

Then those shite stains were lying to the PAC 12 commish saying we were on board with their "plan" to destroy the big 12 by packing up for the west coast. Thank goodness Larry Scott didn't trust Deloss and spoke with Loftin directly. That's when we picked up the phone to Slive.

Loftin was nails, is he still up there at Mizzou?

Not as chancellor. There were... problems with Mizzou administration last year.

Initially, when I saw this thread, I was going to say Oklahoma but not Texas, but this made me think back about how the Big 12 became such a Texas dominated dysfunctional mess.

Oklahoma was just as guilty. When SWC and Big 8 merged, Oklahoma abandoned it's Big 8 roots, especially Nebraska to become Texas's long term butt buddy.

This is why the Big 12 became an expanded SWC instead of an expanded Big 8.
