I defended him last year, but enough is enough.

Currently getting blown out again if anyone cares.

I wanted him gone after year one. Lead our program to the worst season we had in 45+ years last year.

He was a Division 2 coach who had no experience as a head coach at the Division 1 level, let alone at a power 5 school. OHH but wait, I forgot he's an Alum so he should get the job... frick YOU Mike Alden!

OMG 31-11 with 7:27 in the first half!!!!!! Dear gawd how did we win our first two games? We are worst then last year. KSU and Northwestern are neither one very good.

This was a shite hire from the start. Hiring a Division 2 coach was clearly a big mistake.

A lot of us said from day 1 he was awful. He landed MGC and I thought just maybe he could pull it off, because what a great story that would be. But after game 1 last year you could tell he had no business at this level. We are awful at fundamentals, which is all on the coach. He's also got us in such a talent hole that we're now in worse shape than when be got here. No size, no skill, like a shitty mid major team.

Yep, he needs to go. Should have never been given the job in the first place.

They will give him until the end of the season and then he is most likely gone.

He is already gone. Just have to wait til the off season to find out who his replacement will be unfortunately. Seems like it was a kick the can down the road hire for Alden.

Yeah I'm on board now too unless something miraculous happens and they have a decent year. Don't see that happening. Sorry KA, you just aren't the man for this.

It would be one thing if he was 35-40 years old when we hired him. Not the best decision to hire a 60 year old D-2 coach. Even if he were to be successful, he wouldn't be able to stay around long enough to maintain it.

KA needs to be give 3-4 years.. Its not like MU is going to be able to go out and get a top of the line famous coach....

I don't want every two years we change coaches... KA bleeds Black N Gold give him a chance. HE should have been hired before the last coach....

If there's anything that's obvious over the last year+ of Mizzou basketball, it's that he shouldn't have ever been hired.

He has a chance, he's currently blowing it and sucking at a historic level. If he wanted to be a D1 head coach he should have paid his dues at a low major D1 school and worked his way up, like most other coaches do. He chose to stay at D2 where its easier, we don't owe him the job just because he played here. I actually feel sorry for him, he should never have been offered the job, he wasn't qualified.

I was a KA supporter too. I was excited for this coming basketball season with the new recruits and see how KA could form this team and program. This shite show has to stop though. Because he does bleed black and gold, he has this year to prove himself. If he doesn't, it's time for a change. This is getting pathetic.

The time for "I told you so's" is over. KA should never have been hired, many pointed it out before the hire and after. The guy who did it rode off into the sunset so he can't be held accountable.

What needs to occur now is discussion of what happens next. Program damage control. Should he get that third year or not? Sadly, this has less to do with Kim in my opinion than it does with what will harm the program the least. A third dreadful year will do more damage as will making the job less desirable by firing somebody too quickly so that qualified candidates are nervous about taking it. We're essentially screwed either way, the only question is which will cause the least rectal bleeding?

While there is a slim to none chance but still a chance this team comes on, KA will never garner the recruits needed to be competitive for an extended period of time. It takes at least two season to get the players like he's recruiting to come to a level to compete with subpar teams let alone upper echelon teams we have to play every season. KA cannot afford to take one to two "misses" in recruiting. He has to hit every year because he doesn't have the talent level needed to cover for those possible misses on recruits. Those misses will be around and eating a bench spot for at least 4 seasons too. So it doesn't leave him room for any mistakes when recruiting.

I agree with Kilo's estimation on KA. KA was a kick the can down the road hire.

Yeah, the "I told ya so" serves no purpose now other than rubbing it in. For the record, I was a Howland supporter, but once that ship sailed and we settled for KA, I was willing to give him a chance. Especially after that press conference he had and his general philosophy on hard nosed basketball. I think as fans we owe him this year to turn things around. I just don't see it happening and Rhoades needs to start looking and revising that list we know he has.

I don't buy this at all. If KA has two or three shite years in a row without showing signs of progression, most coaches that would be on the list will understand the firing. A competent coach with good recruiting can turn this around pretty quickly. Alot easier than a football program for all the obvious reasons.

I was really hoping that KA would be a pleasantly good hire with his Mizzou history, I just don't think it's meant to be.
