Basically gives us no shot having us ranked that low, I thought we'd be closer to 12 or so

We've had 2 bad losses. We deserve to be the lowest ranked 2-loss power-5 conference team and that is exactly where we are. I don't see any issues with the ranking.

You never know what the committee would do if we beat bama convincingly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the ride, but this goes to show how bad we shyte the bed against Indiana, and, to a certain extent, Georgia.

Anybody who tells you differently is just ate up with dummy.

It goes to show even more that Mizzou would have to run the table to get in. This whole committee picking teams is a shite show. It'll only get worse. They took a good idea and fricked it all up. I mean, why even play a CCG? Is this not played to find out who the top team is in the conference?

This should not surprise anyone. We deserve to be ranked where we are, IMO. Playoff caliber teams do not lose to Indiana. Period.

Totally agreed Semo... But there are those that would argue otherwise.

This... MU could have probably survived one bad loss, but, not two.

Not much MIZZOU can do as far as NCG but MIZZOU needs to get the "you have not won anything" monkey off our backs and get this SECCG.

Pinkel somehow has to super motivate his players to Bama's level because the Gumps will be ready to play, Saban will not settle for anything less.

Exactly. Lose to Indiana and have a close loss to Georgia, ok. Beat Indiana but get blown out by Georgia, ok. But not both. Our body of work doesn't stand up to some other resumes.

That said, we have improved since then, and if those games were replayed I think the results would be different. But it is what it is. I think we are in the top 4 or so in the conference. And that the ranking is about right.

I have no gripe with not making the playoff. Never was gonna happen. I do think we should be ranked higher than any of the 3 loss teams. OM, UGA. UCLA. Hell, UGA and UCLA just lost too. Just is kind of bs that we only move up 1 spot after beating an Arky team that just shut out LSU and OM and so many teams ahead had lost.

So let's take Bama down with us, screw it. SEC fans hate us anyway.

We are also ranked behind several 3 loss teams.

If we beat Bama and a few other upsets happen, we'll be in. We need TCU and/or Baylor to lose. Ohio State needs to lose. FSU needs to lose. If that happens and we win, it'll be hard for the committee to keep us out.

Sorry, but no way Mizzou makes the playoffs under any circumstances, not this year.

Is there anyone here that thinks we should be in the playoff picture even without the Indiana loss?

This team finds a way to win, but it's not anywhere near a great team deserving one of the top 4 spots.

Are you saying if we beat Indiana? If so, and if we beat Bama, absolutely I think that we should be in the playoffs. Our only loss at that point is to a top 20 UGA. I'm not saying that I think MU would be a top 4 team by the eye test but yes, they would have earned it if they were 12-1.
