I just read where Mizzou players are "reacting well" to Barry's post-Auburn rant. And Gabe says this coming game will tell whether Barry has lost the players.

Notwithstanding the "Win one for the Gipper" myth, can BO's rah rah do anything to light a fire?

I wish I could be optimistic, but I just don't think "teaching the players to deal with adversity" is gonna win many games.

Your thoughts?

Ah.

Rah-rah-rah nonsense. Respond well. Sure.

They still aren't good. The offense has been a joke. The D a bigger joke. I just don't think they'll be good enough Saturday.

Playing hard hasn’t been a problem. Playing smart has been a bigger issue. That’s on the coaches to get the players ready.
There’s enough talent to get to 6 wins still.

6 wins, maybe with a different coach.

Barry punts down by 24 with 19 seconds left in the half from the opponents 38 yard line.

I think you're being a bit conservative.

I thought the talent on the team was good for 6-7 going into the season, that hasn’t changed.

I thought the talent was good enough to win 8-9. I was serious about being too conservative. That just shows how horrendous BO is when we're likely to end with 2 wins.

Wow 8-9, that explains the difference in our attitude towards the team.
At 2-3 wins BO needs to be fired no question.
At 4-5 maybe a case can be made for keeping BO, if younger players are carrying the team.

Well, it looks like BO is gonna be fired at the end of the season then. There's no way he's getting more than 3 wins.

We are bad. We have bad apples. This is unfortunately a necessary detox. They don't feel good. Maybe leadership emerges out of this and Odom will get another year. I won't care much if things continue to go bad because Sterk seems to be aces.

I don't see any good happening, I honestly have no idea how they can salvage the offense. I don't know how it can be so bad. The offense seems like an anchor of no hope with no intentions on changing the plan.

Crockett and Rountree are the path to salvaging the offense.

That was my deciding moment. He's just not a good HC.

Wow 8-9

Any just decent team would win all 4 OOC games, beat UK and Vandy. That SHOULD be 6 automatic wins alone. That still leaves 6 games that you only have to win 2 out of SC, UT, UGA, UF, Auburn and Arky. I don't think it's a stretch to say the talent on this team with some REAL coaching could win 8 games.

Problem is BO has been horrendous so far. I do agree, 4-5 would probably be cause for Sterk to keep BO at this point.

Kentucky isn’t a good football team. They’ll easily beat us. South Carolina isn’t a great football team. They easily beat us at Faurot. Arkansas isn’t a good team. They’re going to beat us easily. Tennessee isn’t a good team. They’re going to beat us easily.

If we are 1-7 in SEC play, Sterk keeps him?

It doesn’t matter that much, really. One more year of shitty football isn’t the end of the world. We are Mizzou.

I'm rooting for UK to put a beat down on Mizzou. The more we get our shite pushed in by programs like UK the quicker BO is gone!

I hope they "react well" to BO dumping all of Cross's second level keys. Hall hasn't played a game this year where he looked like he had a grip on what the EMOLS and subsequent backfield action was doing.
