USCw
Virginia Tech
Mizzou
USCe
Miami
Illinois
Maryland
UCF
North Texas
Hawaii

Where do you think we fit in this group of HC openings? I guess we are in that 2-3-4 range.

USCe was trash before Spurrier. But he brought them up and it is SEC. Mizzou has a better history even with the Bab Years included. So, we're above or at worst equal to USCe. I'm not sure if VT being in the ACC is a plus?

Question is...will all this protest crap keep a promising coach from choosing the Tigers? I don't know, but it didn't help.

I think with all the issues on campus it knocks us down to the Maryland, Illinois level.

5th at worst, taking into account the university issues and climate. Probably 3rd-4th.

Nah. This will pass. We are still SEC and have a solid QB in place.

it depends on the relationship and whether Mack can do a great job. I think his relationship with the most talked about guy out there makes us number 1 on the Tom Herman sweepstakes. as far as the rest of the sought after coaches, we're mid pack.

Miami is in the middle of a major talent hotbed. They won't be able to pay as well as most of the other schools, but other than USC that's the easiest place to win big.

Just my Opinion, but I don't think we're even on that list.

I just don't think any future president/chancellor/ BOD is going to allow an athletic program the kind of power they inadvertently gave the football program. I think any future coach would see that most any request made for facilities/recruiting/stadium expansion et al will now be met with a simple "No" as the programs influence is allowed/forced to decline.

IE Missouri's rise in stature as a possible national football program, is finished. We will be bottom tier SEC and no better from now on.

Yeah, they'll probably just fold the football program

Nothing personal, but I think you're full of shite on the above quote. Time has a way of evening things out and this current shite will subside with time.

It's already losing steam, but of course we'll be luck to hire a 8th grade coach.

That's not how it works....when you tell someone they're full of shite, it's VERY personal

Then let him take it personal if he so desires.

I'm a pessimist, thus I'm never disappointed, and occasionally pleasantly surprised.

I would say though, that any 1st tier coach is going to look at the program and want nothing to do with it until the present bad taste is washed away. How long that will take is anyone's guess. But longer than any of us will like, I suspect.

None taken. We're all obsequious blowhards here anyways.

It is my understanding that they are moving forward on the south end zone project?

Ya know, the one Gary was pushing for?
