He and Ross rotating as the primary backs would allow JH to use Witter in role more fitting to his skill set.

He averaged just under 5 yds per carry in conference play last year running behind the worst line in 16 seasons. Witter isn't a primary ball carrier but he can help move the chains if used in space.

Regardless, Heupel's playbook just got expanded considerably.
