First let me say right off-the-top that I didn't run into a single person that wasn't genuinely nice.

We spent the majority of our tailgate with multiple groups of people and ended up sitting right next to a couple guys who had driven up on Thursday and got to see a bunch of the campus and town. Spent a lot of time talking and asking their thoughts. Some feedback I heard:

Columbia is a top-notch college town and we have a great and beautiful (albeit spread out) campus.

The tailgating was actually better than they thought it would be.

When asked what they thought about Mizzou in the SEC they all thought the idea was weird at first but now in the post-alignment world it makes sense. I asked about being southern and 3 different people said "we only consider Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia to be the South. So who cares if we added another border state".

They liked the beer at Flat-branch, especially the "Spicy one".

They said they were told "welcome to Missouri" about a thousand times. Where they got tired of responding.

Just a couple items of feedback from almost 2 days spent hanging out with some really cool people.

Welcome to the SEC.

Arkansas has been in the conference for a quarter of the century and people still think we were part of the Big 12.

Really nice folks in the conference... a bit dim though.

Very nice people. Very complimentary of Mizzou fans. Talked football, and they volunteered "we saw your guys stop playing in the first half, we've been there". Also pointed out how we don't probably appreciate how we've been to Atlanta twice and there are teams in the SEC who have never been there before so they thought we'd get our ship righted. Class act fans. Only fans I didn't care for were Vandy fans that first year they beat us but I also realize those were fans who'd never really won before so they just didn't know how to act.
