Have a good relationship. They both think very highly of each other's abilities.
Unless Kul is blown away by another opportunity, he'd stay at Mizzou. He's been here for many years and he has school age children that he doesn't want to uproot. At least one of his daughters attends Mizzou.

I'm betting the new LSU HC offers him the DC job and the boosters back up the truck to make it happen. They need to get back to their dominant DL.

It sounds like it's merely a formality. No later than season's end.
And I'm with surgicalvenom. Going hard after Kuligowski feels like a very LSU move.
Hopefully they get this done sooner than later before the assistants start making their own side deals.
