"By leaving Mizzou for Baylor before his 5-year contract was finished, Rhoades owes the university $800,000, per contract."

Baylor has to be paying him a ton

I've heard from a friend which is not a reliable source that he is getting a 4 million dollar raise.

He will probably be a fairly good AD for Baylor. His professional contacts are in Texas, and he can shuck and jive through the next few years in football what with the whole Rapist University they have going on.

Just say the right words and the donors will keep on giving in Texas.

For Mizzou he was a flop. A fund raiser is great and all but a lack of money coming in is the least of Mizzou's problems. Even after the whole BLM thing y'all have plenty of money.

MR can be a great AD in Texas... he was a lousy AD in the SEC.

I guarantee you MR told Baylor he could get him there, but Herman would be foolish to leave Houston for that job.

UT will open up soon enough, and Houston is poised to forge a spot in the Big 12 once they become desperate enough to start going the SWC reunion route for expansion.

ETA: I still say Odom was MRs second choice. Probably the right choice though, Herman probably bolts just as easily as MR did.

How much was he earning before? And what did he do to impress Baylor to pay him more?

Essentially, Baylor is a collection of desperate rich people willing to pay anyone anything to maintain the level they've achieved.

They've sucked UTs hind tit for so long they can't stand the idea of pissing away what they have because of little things like ethics.

They will not be bothered by doing the right thing.

They'll pay anyone they can to make this go away.

Which is ironic if you consider the ethos that the school was founded upon.

They are desperate and entitled Texans with nothing to lose but football games.

And football is everything to them, no matter what they want you to think on the surface.

You sound pretty sure about that.

I mean, now... I sure as hell wouldn't go to Baylor either.

Herman would be smart to stay right where he's at for now, and wait for his dream job to open.

Hermann is being touted for bigger jobs

Baylor is where an older coach who has turned around a program goes, not young one who is being touted.

It's still Baylor
