Thanks Porter. Pretty much what I've read. More of a pocket passer and less of a dual threat.

If I had to pick a kid who was a relatively unknown player that finds the field and has an impact, my money would be on walkon WR Otte. I recall him impressing coaches last year after transferring to Mizzou if I remember correctly and led the team in receiving in this game, including a 31 yard diving, finger-tip catch.

Yeah he should have last year had a fantastic spring but shows ya how stacked we was a Wr last season too

More on Steward. He is the bigger of the RB's at Mizzou right now by about 10-15 pounds, but Gabe stated that he has a faster 40 time than both Russel and Murphy which if true is beyond amazing and deadly. This guy could have a true breakout year and be a candidate for 12+ Tds this year. I could see him getting a majority of the work inside the 5 as Josey did last year.
Hate to see the injuries happen but if they are to happen, better now than in July-August time. Now some guys who may not have gotten as much work and step in and learn and be ready in case there number is called.

It just feels good to actually hear some football news. It is going to be a fun year.

Watched him a few times in HS. I don't have a really good idea how high school talent translates into D1 production, but he was scary good in HS to my very amateur eye. Excited to see him put in some work.

No still gonna be a back holding a clipboard.

Many good quarterbacks hold clipboards. How would that mean he isn't any good?

I hope he improved from the last time we all seen him play.

I don't think anyone said he's not good enough to hold a clipboard. I'd bet most on here think he proved himself more than capable.

I don't know that I would put much money on that.. look at the guys ahead of him, DGB, White, Hunt, Sasser and then you have some kids like Nate Brown that might well make the 2 deep as a freshman, I think a walkon at WR might be lucky to see the field until it's mop up time.
