Michael Porter Jr's mom said ESPN's report on Porter Sr. joining the Missouri staff was wrong, but they are very close to an announcement.

Porter Jr's mom did tell us that it would be pretty special if Jr ended up at Mizzou, given the family ties to Columbia, Missouri. #Mizzou

I think that they(him, his brother and his pops) will end up at Mizzou unless a blueblood convinces him that if he wants a chance to win a NC in his only year they will have the studs around him to help him make that wish come true.

He said all those things but he also talked about how great it would be to play with Trae Young or whatever his name is in OU or with his best friend at UVA. I still like what he had to say about Mizzou and those words were more promising but I'm not 100% sold yet until he signs the paperwork.

Young would not have to sit out. He hasn't even signed a LOI yet. So nothing is stopping him from changing his mind on OU.
