The SEC move was great because I'm a football fan first and there simply isn't a comparison between the two.

However, Big 12 hoops is certainly a better product than the league we are in now. A lot of that has to do with is tanking, but this OU/kU game is phenomenal

I don't care how good of a game it is. I refuse to watch a game that features the two schools I hate the most.

Good news is we don't have to play either. They would both beat us 40 points but I do miss the great BB games we use to have. I do blame the move to the SEC for part of our BB problems.

I blame Mike Alden for not hiring a competent basketball coach after Norm left. He failed 3 times possibly 4 times.

Great game.

I do miss Big 12 basketball. Each game felt intriguing. That has something to do with rivalries and playing for so long though. Besides that, they do play good basketball, not just who can be the best athletes like they do in the SEC.

Don't expect it to change much soon. The South still doesn't care about roundball.

Quinn and MA were the right hires at the time. Quinn the hottest assistant coach in the land and MA kicking butt at UAB of all places. Just did not pan out. Haith , with what was going on at Miami, should have never been looked at.

Haith was the biggest "HUH?" hire of any Mizzou coach that I can recall.

He hired a hot name assistant coach over a proven coach in Bill Self. Quinn also recruited thugs who kept him from recruiting top prospects like Tyler Hansbrough. Mike Anderson was a solid hire but was always looking to go elsewhere and everyone knew would bolt for Arkansas. He also didn't recruit that well the last couple of years letting Otto Porter get out the door. We can say he hired the right guys at the time doesn't change the fact he didn't and ruined the basketball program.

So annoying that we may strike out on the whole Porter family.

I understand that. But he was paid to get it right and he didn't.

eh, SEC bball is getting better

it was a quality conference, with vandy, lsu, kentucky, florida, etc making tourney.

problem is, it got pushed to back of bus by some of the powers. But several are making effort to resurrect their programs.

Missouri should of upped the ante and went after Lon, when he was in Vegas. It was never his destination, he is a midwest guy. OU got a steal, the guy can coach and is grossly underrated.

John Wooden could have been here at MU and we weren't going to get Tyler. He was never going to come here.

Tyler said the reason he didn't want to come to MU was bc of thugs like Kalen Grimes
