Tiger Brethren,
I wanted to offer some advice and answer any questions for those traveling to Baton Rouge this upcoming weekend - possibly where to tailgate, what to see, where to grab some grub, etc. Hope you guys have safe travels and a hell of a time.
See map below
Yellow (Highland Rd/Dalrymple Dr): These streets are shaded by 100 year old live oaks trees where you'll find some damn good tailgating. Follow Dalyrmple Drive through campus and you won't be disappointed. You'll find hundreds of tailgates - pick one and start drinking
Orange (Victory Hill): The team and band march down Victory Hill around 4:30. Fans start lining up early so get there early if that's your kind of thing. The sight still gives me chills.
Parade Grounds: A big tailgating hub for fraternities, sororities ( ), and other student organizations. You'll definitely get "tigerbaited" but nothing too bad.
[
Red Square (The Chimes): Restaurant/bar right off campus. They have a large beer selection, good gameday drinks, and Louisiana comfort food.
Blue (Quad): Heart of campus. Tailgating isn't allowed but it's a sight to see.
Green Square (Mike the Tiger's Habitat): $4 Million Dollar Facility for our live mascot, Mike. Check it out if you have time.

Superior sucks dick, frick them and their shitty menu. They have a good cheese dip and margaritas but they are over priced and everything else sucks dick.

Your chimes placement on the map is off. It's one block north from where you have it.
And I second the chimes recommendation, whether it's for dinner tonight or to grab a beer tomorrow before tailgaiting. Cool place with good food and a great beer selection.

Damn, thanks. Not sure how I made that mistake.
The red square represents Christ the King Catholic Church for those interested. Go a block north for Chimes
