Doubt it. Their dad was an assistant at Memphis. I would bet that the 3 of them are a package deal.

Since Cuonzo has finished hiring his assistants there's no place for their father. Per NCAA rules family of potential recruits can only be employed as on court assistants.

I don't think that would be a good idea.

Your assistants do the lion's share of developing your players.

MPSr is light on experience. Player development may not be his strong suit. You bring in another assistant light on player development you could screw yourself with the non-one and dones.

Player development is probably the thing MPSr does best. Just look at how skilled his kids are.

A kU fan could make the same argument about hiring Danny Manning's father.

We don't know he developed that talent, or it's god given natural.

The 5 of them is a package deal. I believe there are two brothers in high school. Very similar to the Porter's. Ole Miss might get them.

There's a lot of god given, lot of the players themselves putting in work, but there are also lots of stories about Sr working with his kids when they were young.

You could be right. He's not a truck driver by trade.

But generally speaking, bringing in top talent by hiring the father, you're doing it to get the player, not the coaching abilities of the father.

And that being said, it could still cost you in not having the best assistant talent.
