Hey, Kansas City fricks. I'm actually watching this game against the Mariners and rooting for the Royals.

That's about all you'll get from me though. I cannot root for the Chefs.

Sorry.

But let's go Royals or whatever!

I just yelled at the damn tv.

I'm sending what's left over from my cards mojo towards the Royals. This will end good.

Thanks remote looks like your good vibes came through for us in the 12th.

I'm just afraid even if we win out it just won't be enough

Realistically our playoff hopes died when we went 0-7 from August 17-24. After that the chances were just mathematical.

Remote, what's wrong with the Chiefs? :(

Long story. But it stems from the Cardinals moving to Arizona and all of my friends becoming annoying Chiefs fans.

Plus, I live in San Diego and like the Chargers.

Royals playoff hopes.....GONE!

Called it back in August when we were 2nd in the division. The Royals simy don't have the offensive weapons to make the playoffs. Pitching and defense was fine, but we had a pretty sub par offense.

How much hope for the future though KC? I would think it has to be an encouraging season when looking to next year.

Damn, I would've liked to see the Royal make it over the Tribe. Hopefully you guys can get it together next season (just as long as my Tigs win the Central )

Well, coming from a prototypical pessimistic fan, I'm not very confident about this coming season. I believe we'll be losing Santana and pitching will probably decline a bit. I guess hitting can't get any worse so maybe that'll be better. I've seen nothing from the current regime that shows me they know what they're doing. They keep talking about " positivity and atmosphere yet NEVER address OBP or anything of importance.

Only slightly exciting things for next season is talk of bringing back Beltran and/or bringing in Mark Trumbo.

That would be nice but it has to start with the farm system. Anyone high on the list that might get the promotion to the bigs next year?

We should go raid Cuban talent since they will soon be able to sign pro contracts abroad.

I'm only slightly kidding

Yordano Ventura made 2 starts at the end of the season. His fastball was clocked at 102.8 MPH in his debut, he has a bright future and is a very exciting prospect. He should be a starter in spring training next year.

Maybe Christian Colon could fill the hole at 2B next year but I dunno

Offensively our prospects aren't very exciting for next year. Unfortunately offense is what we lack. We traded away our best one (Myers) and it leaves us with mostly pitching prospects in AAA. Free agency will be where we've got to get our bats.

I could live with Bonafacio at second if I never have to see Getz again and they get a right fielder who can hit with some power.

So I bought tickets to the Texans@Chiefs on 10/20. I also bought a "red" parking pass. How bad is it going to be driving in from Columbia for a 3:25 PM kickoff?

I am going to take my 5YO son to this. He's never been to a football game before, and I am pumped.
