Seems you guys are getting some pretty decent pitching. Hitting is spotty. About right?

Best team ERA in the AL if I'm not mistaken...so yes, "spotty" is being generous.

Jabari Brown and Henry Josey threw out the first pitches. Henry went first and Aaron Crow caught the pitch. Then he got up to meet Henry Josey between the mound and left Jabari hanging. Jabari kind of awkwardly 'd and walk of shamed off the mound I felt bad for him kind of

Jabari didn't even throw I don't think, as they were walking away he was just tossing the ball to himself

Nice pics btw! I left during the middle of the fireworks but here are some pictures I took about a month ago on a fireworks night.

I know folks like to jab at each other with the STL/KC thing but its not real at all for me. I love KC, adopted the Chiefs when the Cardinals moved to Arizona, follow the Wiz/SKC soccer team, like the Royals, its a great town and its a awesome sports town and its really nice to see Kauffman filled to the brim with fans

All Glass has to do is freaking put together a good front office and a good team and he would be printing money with the fans there.

I have only been to STL about 5-10 times and can't say I am the same as you, but I do like the Blues and am hoping STL gets an MLS team in the future as it would be awesome for a KC/STL MLS "rivalry" even if the sides don't hate each other necessarily. As for the Rams, why would I cheer for another shitty NFL team? The Chiefs are enough. And as for the Cardinals, my dad dislikes the Cards and so growing up I never cheered for them and still don't really.

Amen to that Kilo

The intercity squabbling is lame. I like to think of it more as an alliance...the "twin towers" of Missouri (Springfield can be the spire on top Killz). Not many states in our part of the US can claim two Major League, top tier sized cities!

But don't even get me started on Glass although he is rumored to be a cardinals fan so there's that for ya

The southeast?

Or the midwest?

Our owner was a Reds fan. Hell he had a minority stake in the Reds before he bought the Cards.

Exactly why I didn't refer to one

Honestly I don't associate Missouri with a region. Not the Midwest, not the south, not the north, not the west. It's "Missouri"

Exactly, me either. Missouri is a very unique state and if you ask me that is cool being able to find the varying cultures within the State.

Agreed! I had a thing with a girl for a while from the center of the boot heel. I honestly had a hard time understanding her at times on one hand there's plain dialect speaking me from KC, and then there is extreme southern drawl speaking her from the boot heel yet both from the same state.

Royals pull another game back and Sporting KC just scored in the 96' to beat Salt Lake. Good day for KC

Damn that Cleveland series hurt KC and that losing streak awhile back hurt the Royals. Can't believe KC is only 6 games back.

Kauffman looks awesome, I still need to catch a game there and cross that one off the list. The Royals have always had one of my favorite logos and unis since I was kid, good to see them back winning ball games

Escobar with the walkoff double tonight!

Hosmer is still continuing to improve, hopefully he can keep it up.

They've won 5 in a row now. Will they buy at the deadline?

For the 3rd time this year we've crawled back to 1 game under .500...the last two times that happened we went on 4+ game losing streaks. I predict the same will happen here. Getting over the hump seems impossible for these guys.

I don't see the Royals buying anything. If anything, the may try to sell Santana, but that depends on how the next couple of days and how we are sitting when the time comes.

Santana would fetch quite a bit. Seems like be finally had a season that equaled his huge potential and they would be wise to sell honestly unless they keep winning here and are in good position at the deadline
