At the very least he will be able to help the Missouri QB's. I wonder how much of the 2016 Missouri offense will look like Oklahoma's? Surely he brought some plays with him from his 4 years as a co-offensive coordinator.

It's all going to depend on what He and other coaches can do with the OL. Give RBs some holes? Give Lock time to throw? Do those 2 things and the offense will be drastically better.

He repeated th need to be physical a lot in that interview.

I'm sure he'll bring his own ideas and flavor, but an OC runs what the HC wants him to run.

Odom is going to want to be more physical on offense. More attached TEs, a fullback/HB. Not completely away from the spread, but more of a power spread than we've ran in the past. Heupel also believes in pace.

He does have a good background with QBs, so hopefully he can help Lock take a big step forward because the guy has NFL potential. Size and arm.

I can't wait to see what a veteran QB coach like Heupel will do with Lock.

I think we have seen the last of zone blocking. The way he kept talking about "being physical" to me means back to a power blocking scheme. I also remember when Mizzou WR's were known for their downfield blocking. That went away when Hill moved to QB's so maybe that will return.

I do hope they can score 1 more JUCO OL and 2 OL recruits.
