Wolfe's Email

Certainly interesting, no doubt about that.

Wow, simply wow.

Is I had heard before, Loftin was the buffoon in charge. I believe things could have worked out differently if Loftin had proved to be competent.

Good read, but only one side of the story. About what I expected except for the State Senator story.

Loftin's severance was too much, IMHO. Wolfe just wants too much too. That's all this letter is about.

Didn't Wolfe hire Loftin? He didn't take responsibility for that one.

I think it all starts at the top. The BOC has issues. Gov. Nixon has issues. Plenty of blame to spread around with this mess.

As I have stated, I am willing to accept some of the responsibility for what happened. I made the mistake of hiring Bowen Loftin

I believe he did...

Just goes to show how important it is to hire great or at least competent and loyal people under you.

Also heard Wolfe wanted to fire Loftin, but its the Curators that have that power, and they wouldn't do it.

the conservatives running jeff city are boobs

gutless, boobs.

If you are a conservative, u should be embarrassed for the incompetence they have shown while having super majority.

These boobs dont even have the juice to get Glick or head of Greek life, fired. LOL

As a moderate, who leans a little more right than left, i see nothing but incompetence from these morons. Oh, don't get me wrong, the Democrats in Jeff City are as useless as a water proof sponge, but together, we get super stupidity from both parties.

The curators are a clusterfrick of retardation. How do you even begin to fix such a fricked up situation? Unreal.

Everyone has some blame. all I got out of the email is Wolfe wants to get paid. Didn't see much of a request to fix anything than his $$$

My big question takeaways were:

What was supposed to go down on Nov 9?
Why did Mizzou hire Middleton, if he had been in charge of all the diversity things that went awry?
Why is Loftin still at Mizzou?

But unfortunately, his tone and wording are not going to produce any meaningful dialogue.

It wasn't supposed to. It was a confidential letter not meant to go public.

Speaking of...how did Gov. Nixon (dem) handle the National Guard in protecting Ferguson? The guy cannot even talk and he's a Mizzou grad.

It's Nixon that appoints the currently inept BOC, who then hired the inept school pres and chancellor.

It starts at the top, gents.

Loftin has a contract and he won't leave. All they could do is strip him of his title, but they still have to pay him. So he's now reassigned to some research position.

Why is Alden still at Mizzou?
Why is Click still at Mizzou?
Why is that "Greek Life lady" still at Mizzou?
Why is AD Compliance Dept. still at their jobs?

Cluster, gents.

edit: Let me answer my own questions. "Safe place".

Why do birds suddenly appear, every time you're near?
Why do fools fall in love?
Why does love got to be so sad?
Why ask why? Drink Bud Dry.
Why, I oughta...

My opinion? Despite his apparent involvement with the protest group, and clear support for a pro-African American agenda at the expense of other groups, he is the right color and in a high position in the administration. He has the academic chops. And though he is not a fan of football, he would protect the program from some fallout since he supported their actions. The program put itself in the crosshairs with their actions, at least with alumni and donors, and will need some help to get out of the hole.

Isn't he under contract for a bit longer? They want him to be quiet, not file a lawsuit. Better to keep him on staff and under control.

This entire cluster pisses me the frick off. Everyone in Missouri politics on both sides of the aisle, the entire BOC and mizzou admin can individually and collectively kiss my arse.
