Was Montee a double-legacy who flirted with us and staged a signing-day ceremony for the attention, only to jerk the proverbial football away at the last minute like Lucy and Charlie Brown? When he had no intention of changing his commitment? Didn't think so...

He was verbally committed to Ohio State long before signing day, it was pretty obvious we were a long shot to get him at that point.

He says he did. Says it was the toughest decision he had to make.

Like almost every single kid committing on NSD?

I'm not a fan of Stacy Elliot and the way he has handled things...but Zeke hasn't done anything that any other recruit doesn't do every year. I just don't see why everyone is so upset at a kid making the obviously correct decision.

I'm more annoyed at the parents than the kid, obviously. But there is no comparison to the Montee Ball story. I don't wish ill on the kid. But I also won't cheer for him.

Thew two situations were not even remotely similar. You keep trying to connect some dots to validate your opinion.

I must therefore conclude that you are a fool.

Its a lot like your reaction to being completely wrong about Lock on the depth chart.

Both St. Louis kids. Both ESPN 100 guys. Both recruited by Missouri. Both ended up choosing B1G schools. Both had signing day "events". Both starred as feature backs at respective schools.

The only difference I see is the parents....and a perception of "attention".

Does Missouri do a good job blocking off the B1G?

Ball
Clayborn
EZE
Mcnutt
Chesson

Not including all the East side kids who have gone to UofI

Its already clear to most everyone else why the two situations are not similar outside of normal, everyday recruiting stuff.

Feel free to do what you do though.

How about that plate of crow over Lock? You still woofing it down?

Said I was shocked, don't know what else to tell you.

My opinion on what to do with Lock is still the same.

But if that really gets you all riled up, go for it.

You should try "I was wrong".

You were also dead wrong after being so adamant you were right and putting some good journalists on blast.

and that Ball was clear from the very beginning he had no interest in Mizzou because of our offensive style. He made it clear from day 1 he was going to a power rushing style offense.
