Our offensive line could end up being a complete nightmare.

If it holds up reasonably, we could do ok.

How did Zanders and Lowery look?

Lowery didn't do much.

Zanders started out slow, but had a nice drive at the end. Albeit against the 3 D

If they had come out and said "We looked at goat entrails for portents regarding the coming season" it would have at least been amusing.

Instead we get a factoid or two about each team and a lot of blather. If anything Missouri got more attention then most, they got three small factoids.

As for the predictions you get winners such as the Hogs will beat TCU (Why will we beat them? Both teams are replacing their offenses but its on the road and a must win game for TCU) but a late game stretch of Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida, and LSU could do them in!

We get all 4 of those games at home and late in the year. Nobody from the South wants to play Arkansas and Missouri late in the year on the road. The Hogs have beat two of those teams two years in a row, including thumping LSU soundly both years.

Missouri, meanwhile, plays three Eastern teams that should be woeful this year (Vandy, Kentucky, USCe) and should win at least three of their OOC games. Knock off a Florida, Tenn, Arkansas, LSU, or Georgia (which is doable for any of them) and why shouldn't the Tigers post up a 7 or 8 win season?

IF...BIG IF we can block? Run and pass.

I appreciate your confidence Arksulli.

After seeing our ground game yesterday, my guess is 6-6 and a toilet bowl would be good. 7 or 8, maybe with adequate blocking? Mizzou already knows what a weak OL gets you in the SEC. See the 2012 and 2015 records.

I haven't seen y'alls Spring game yet. Is it inexperience or lack of talent on the OL that worries you? With Missouri looking at a more ground oriented style then you have to have some talent in the trenches.

And if its a 6-6 sort of year, well a bowl game is a big step for a rebuilding team and it likely would match you with a hapless Big 12 representative so a bowl win is likely. That's pretty good momentum to carry over into the next season.

The ground game was ok yesterday. 2 bad snaps that led to -39 yards killed the totals. Witter had 13 rushes for 43 yards. Which would be ok against a defense like Mizzou has.

Were you there? I was the entire game. The D took their foot off the gas and it showed. When the D wanted, they could stuff the runs. In a real game, our QBs would have been sacked more. The D toyed with the O at times. There was little if any power, north/south running.

We have blocking problems...still and again. Another 5-7 season would not surprise me at all. My Kool-Aid is not the 8-win strength. My guess 5-7 wins. OL probs, schedule and first year coach. Could I be wrong...sure. Last year I thought that our senior heavy OL would/could block and therefore I predicted a 10-2 year. Wrong again. WVU game will tell us a lot.

Arksulli - inexperience, lack of talent and depth (recruiting) are the OL issues.

I was able to shake hands with Odom and Cross at the PowerMizzou tailgate. I think we have some darn good coaches. Hopefully, they can recruit some studs not an old man like me.

I was there and think the ground game can be ok.
Mizzou's D last year was second to Alabama in ypc. Witter do ok, not great. The OL did ok not great. Neither the offense or defense really tried to show much.

The best 2 RB are not on campus yet and Simms isn't on campus yet. I think Simms starts from day 1

We have seen these doom and gloom projections in years past.

What I love about Mizzou Football is how often they surprise me. Last year surprised me in how bad they were. This year? Maybe the other way.

It is a new year and new team, with new coaches. We don't know what we have yet.

If our offense was an once better last year, we would have won 8 games.

That is about as dumb as it gets. Mizzou will challenge for the SEC East title. Not joking. Defense is going to be sick...offense will be much improved.
