Firing the HC after 1 year is not going to happen, but what about the DC? I don't Odom will want to do it, but I wonder if his AD may lean on him a bit.

Even if it's not entirely Cross' fault it would send a message to fans that this will not be tolerated. I think you have to do it, it may not make any difference at all but at this point you need to have some change besides "play better/coach better". I can't see that flying, and it's entirely possible that Cross is just a shitty DC as well.

Well, I was gonna suggest starting at the top, with BO.

Here's an article that is dead-on:

I read that, thought it was pretty over the top dramatic and there is just simply no way BO will get fired even if we go 2-10

We're only winning 2 games this year, baw. You know it...I know it...everyone knows it. Unbelieveable but it's going to happen.

Odom needs to take over the defense, RIGHT NOW. Cross is a fricking disaster. There's no excuse to go from being 5th in total defense, to 109th with most of the same personnel. They just seem lost right now, which is 100% on Cross.

He needs to let Josh handle the offense, because he's capable of handling it by himself, and put 100% of his focus on plugging the holes in the defense.

Problem is this isn't a Cross scheme, it's Odoms. and to top it off, it is Odoms FIRST time running it. At Memphis he used a variety of defenses to match his talent level and at Mizzou it was the DLineZou attacking defense which let the LBs run around and hit ppl and rack up crazy tackle numbers. It also put pressure on the QB which protected the DBs.

It's hard to believe how not letting the DL attack has screwed up the LBs and DBs. Mizzou really lived and died with Kul and his front 4.

No, frick that shite. We got two shitty "True Son" hires from AD's with one foot out he door. Clean house and fire Kim and Barry. It's Monday afternoon and I'm still fricking melting. Last Saturday was some of the worst coaching I've ever seen. NOBODY was prepared and the defense just fricking gave up. It's not surprising considering the players have been pouting to the coaching staff THE ENTIRE frickING SEASON BECAUSE BARRY ODOM'S SCHEME IS frickING DOG shite GARBAGE! The players and coaches aren't on the same page because Barry is a stubborn piece of shite. This team is regressing big time. Giving up 51 points to MTSU after we returned almost our entire D-line from last year that was ranked in the top 10 nationally? GET THE frick OUT, BARRY! YOU frickING SUCK CAMEL TAINT, YOU FAT frickING BALLED HEADED frick!

AND OUR BASKETBALL WILL BE shite TOO BECAUSE OF KIM THE KERMIT frickFACE ANDERSON. frick THESE TRUE SON BITCHES! FUUUCKK!

alright I feel a little better now.

Rumor is Kul was pissed that he was passed over for DC when Odom came in. That's when Kul almost left for Illinois but Mizzou gave him more money to stay.

Kul and Odom didn't speak to each other, they communicated through grad assistants. There was no way Kul was going to work for Odom. and out of spite, Odom erased all of Kuls work by getting rid of DLineZou. It's all a frickin mess.

Lol, let it out young man!

I'm still for giving BO his time because I think he does have a high ceiling as a coach, but we've got to make some changes and Cross is the most obvious candidate here. Odom's still feeling out how to be the head guy. He needs to get more involved with the defense.

Wow that article is bad news. The media can do a coach in pretty quick. Right or wrong Barry Odom is going to start taking a lot of heat for the defense.

Right now he only has Karakar from the media calling him a lame duck coach that won't last. A few more bad losses and that could become a chorus.

He does make a good point in connecting the "gifts" to winning and with a big name like Les Miles out there anything is possible. Miles improves recruiting and secures the rest of the 75 million quickly. But it is a long shot. But damn, it would be an epic move for Sterk to land miles.

No way I'd want Miles. There was a good reason he was fired apparently and he wouldn't recruit anywhere near like he did at LSU here.

You know what... I fire everyone. The week before the Arkansas game fire everyone, down to the equipment manager! Revoke all the scholarships as well!

Because, well, we could really use a win right now for Arkansas.

Cross does not seem to be working. The flaws with Josh Heupel are starting to make themselves known. Odom really needs a breather to get his feet under him this season. So it is bad. Well that happens with rebuild years.

Right now a bowl game, and I am not mocking you because have you seen Arkansas, is a reachable goal that will improve your team quite a bit. You probably need to make some changes but you don't have to worry about inflated resumes at this point.

Rumor is this happened today.

Naturally under the guise of BO needing to spend more time with that side of the ball.

EDIT: The rumors were also that the players, for the most part, despise Cross.

Never, ever did I say he would recruit to the same level as LSU, but his name alone improves our recruiting quite a bit. And who cares why LSU fired him, were not LSU. The guy won a NC, his name brings excitement. But by all means let's think small, is Mike Jones interested, how about Brock Olivo?

How do you not hire that guy?

I knew that wasn't what you meant, just pointing it out. I'm just not a big fan of retreads. If a guy is having a hard time winning at LSU what would he do here? Does he have anything left in the tank?

I'd rather have a young, hungry coach. Someone with experience and in their prime is obviously ideal, but you likely can't get that guy.

OK, think we can steal McIntyre from Colorado? Taggert from USF, Frost from UCF we already made a run at Rhule.
