you're not gonna get him and Roberts.

Also, a SF/Center is #1 priority.
(guards)
Frosh: Roberts
Soph: Hughes
junior: Phillips, Giest, Walton, and CVL.

We should wait until next year to get additional 1-2 guards.

It scares me how weak we are at SF, especially Forwards in general after next season.

As of now, just Kemp and puryear. Thats it.

Need to load up at fowards now so we're not f***** in 2 years.

Would be a big steal.

Still curious where we would put these guys.

Porter will fill the SF next year.

Center is a big issue though.

I'm thinking a couple of those guards aren't going to be here next year.

I would bet MPJ plays PF a lot next year. Josh Jackson & Tatum both have similar size and played PF.

Porter is also more of a PF then Tatum and Jackson.

after next year, we lose 2 major Forwards. You dont want to rely on freshman. Hints the reason getting a forward now would be huge.

Again, if we dont get a forward in this class, we will only have, a frosh, Kemp, and Puryear in 2 years.

We could play 3 guards. It's not that big of a deal.

I think we will definitely take two guards. Roberts and one of Harris/Smith/Barker.

We desperately need to add a big. Nikko can't play at this level for sure and I'm not sure Smith can either.

I could be way off base here, but many of thebrecruits that are being dicussed are players with length. Meaning hieght, at least without researching each player, it"s what I understand. I get wanting a post guy. Not saying that wouldn't be a priority soon. But, if you have a chance to nab a top recruit like this, you find the room. I feel he's a backup plan to Knox. I don't think Knox will come here. Too many blue bloods panning for him. This guy Baker was a Martin recruit and is starting to be considered by the NBA draft material. If Baker wants in, I don't think you shut the door to quick. Also who knows who Porter can swing this direction at the Micky Dee's. That is also a big unknown. But Baker would be too good to pass up.

It is a big deal when as of now, your forwards would be either Kemp or Puryear. That's a disaster.

If you have the opportunity to take a top 60 player in the country you do it. You can always take a transfer SF next year.

It's a disaster if you are actually playing those guys at the 3, but in this scenario we would not be. Like I said, we could easily run a 3 guard offense. Tons of teams do it with great success.

We also get to recruit next year.

I get that. Most teams who run a 3 guard system, and are at least semi-successful, have forward or bigs whom are much better. What Im saying is, outside of guard play, our bigs will limit are success. I dont want to wait to recruit and have to rely on a frosh.

Those won't be the only 2. Smith is a better forward than Kemp. Jontay is also likely to be at Mizzou.

I'll be perfectly honest. I haven't really stayed up on thw current roster and positions. I have watched a few games. Keep mind not fully underatanding how things work, I'll go out on a limb here. I feel Phillips and Puryear are safe. I think there is enough talent there that they could avtually play up to and contribute if surrounded by even more skilled players. I think as a coach to turn it around you take advantage of the situation you've been delt. Having a #1 ranked player coming in, you use that to fill your team with talent needed to win. If that means some kids are asked to leave then so be it. I don"t think you let top 50 recruits go by because of concerns about current players. Get what you can gey while it's good. This means also future prospects as well. Martin is also recruiting for down the road also not just next year. But while he has the Porter chip in hand he needs to use it for all it's worth.

Jafo, not to be a dick at all but Smith and Knox have been discussed heavily.

Should be interesting though.

Nah, that's fine. Just BS'n with fellow Mizzou fans. I stepped back ofor a while and the HCCM got the blood pumping again. Been almost totally out of touch for the past few years. Hit and miss, watches a few games but not much else. Martin has made this fun again, so far.
