True DAT, good thing the Ole Mi$$ bag men seem to prefer to shower their generosity upon the FB team.

Mizzou is kinda like the car salesman who shows a customer a vehicle that he likes, the mechanics come out and shake his hand and say how well they'll take care of him, his good buddy tells him what a good deal it is on a great car...and the customer walks out saying how great the car is and how fine he was treated...and that he'll sure enough, certainly, by all means, consider it.

But the longer he's gone, the less likely he is to buy the car at our dealership.

Nice comparison there Literalist. I can only hope the FB program will reach even that "level" of consideration by top level recruits.

The sell for these kids is the chance to be the team to take Mizzou to a final four.

They are local - kind of - and if they did this they become legend. More so than winning anything at Duke or NC or kS because it's already been done.

I would be working that angle big time.

It's more they get to be seen by NBA scouts who will be at every game watching Porter.

NBA scouts will find you if you are good enough.
Look at the Portland Trailblazers backcourt as an example. That's the highest scoring backcourt in the NBA.
Lillard went to Weber State
McCollum went to Lehigh

yeah the ol we can get you to the NBA is not an argument that makes sense, but it is an argument 17 year olds will listen to.

Definitely true. Cal likes to show off all his NBA guys. Even though they were all on NBA scouts radar before going to Kentucky.
And in some cases like Skal Lebissiere cost himself lots of money by having a poor season at Kentucky.

Mizzou is a Jag w/ Zo at the helm.

Basketball is a little different. The blueblood is still a pull for recruits, but it's not quite as strong as football.

Im more confident then ever Knox is coming to mizzou.

*Grayson allen coming back to duke which means fewer touches and PT.

*UNC is going to be rather bad next year. Like mid ACC at best bad.

*No real connection to UK. Plus with Jarred Vanderbilt and the top PF going there to, also less PT.

*FSU only because of his dad, and even then they dont seem to be a threat to land him.

I agree. I think it goes:

Knox - MU
Tilmon - KU
Smith - Mich St

Possibly Jontay reclassified if Tilmon doesn't come to Columbia.

Would be an incredible class for Coach. Still hoping for Tilmon, but I'm getting bad vibes that he lands somewhere else. Seems flaky to me.

We have two spots to fill and I dont think theres anyway we dont fill both. Jontay is not a 5* in 2018 and could still reclasify. Hes visiting Monday. I think Tilmon is the safest bet to MU honestly. Knox is seeming more like a UNC lean but who knows. We have made an impression on him.

Tilmon is the most likely out of the 3 to come here.

I'm pretty sure our biggest competition is UNC with Allen returning to Duke IMO.

but like I said, look at next year's unc team. They lose their top 6 and only signed one top 100 recruit. Not gonna be very good

Yes, I know a lot can change in a year.

But let's just think about this for a second. One team just won the national championship. Another team won 8 or 9 games. And the fans of the team that won 8 or 9 games is talking about how the national championship team won't be very good.

I don't disagree with your point, when in perspective.

So we're saying no Duke because Allen is good. Does that mean we're really saying he should come to Mizzou because MPJ isn't all that good? Because if MPJ were good, Knox wouldn't come here either then???? Just trying to follow the logic.
