Pinkel also said former #Mizzou quarterback Chase Daniel contacted him after the game asking for Maty Mauk's number to offer encouragement.

Gota love Chase Daniel. He still bleeds black and gold.

Hopefully he can offer some words of wisdom, and that Mauk will listen.

It'd be great if Chase could head to Columbia for some one-on-one coaching. Backup qb can't be that demanding of a job that he can't take a couple days off...

And it's not like it's a far trip. I know it's probably unrealistic and the fact that he'd even think to call Mauk speaks volumes, but man would it be nice if he was able to face to face give some words of wisdom/advice. Aren't Mondays off days in the NFL?

Be even better if he had some eligibility left.

This Saturday Chase Daniel's brother, Dase Chaniel will be starting for your Missouri Tigers.

Would Mauk hit ignore if Gabbert were to call him?

I wonder sometimes if Gabbert has some negative feelings toward Mizzou since Tyler lost out to James Franklin?

Suffice it to say I would bet the family is down on GP. I'm sure Blaine enjoyed his time at Mizzou and is thankful for the opportunity, but I wouldn't count on his kids going to Mizzou as long as GP is there, which I guess wouldn't be likely anyways in 25 years.

If I were the Gabberts, I'd be more than happy with GP. He helped assure that family will have money for a lifetime.

If they are pissed at how the Tyler thing worked out, they need to look no further than Tyler himself. Had he stayed he would have gotten significant playing time last year, and would be gearing up to start the rest of the season. Instead he's looking for his 5 team in 2 years.

If anything Mizzou fans should be annoyed with the Gabberts, their petty bullshite has cost us in the long run. Sounds like a family of whiney bitches to me.

Who cares about Gabbert who what he perhaps thinks? Pinkel and staff made him a pro QB. He should be thankful that Mizzou gave him the opportunity to be a standout college athlete.

How did he thank Mizzou? He played without emotion, shrugged his shoulders in a "meh" sort of way after losses, and then bolted early for the NFL.

Thanks Gabbert for all you did at Mizzou.

Meh, it all is what it is. Everyone has moved on. Time for the Mauk era to begin in a big way.

Yep, I'm behind Chin Strap 100%.

Time for him to make his Mauk.
