Never really gave it any thought thinking he was a year away, but Pete raised a good question on twitter.

At what point do we start to wonder if he goes into the draft after this season? Yeah, seems crazy...but...guy is leading the SEC in TFL and t5th in sacks. I only see his numbers improving over the course of the season too.

I'm still leaning towards him returning, but is there a point, a number, some stat that would start to make you question if he's returning?

I don't think he's quite there yet. He will probably be evaluated, and talk it over, but I think he comes back. Unless he grades out in the first round, and I just don't think he's a first rounder right now.

As far as a stat, if he's leading the SEC in at least 2 categories, or at least top 3, I'll wonder a little more. But unless he's projected as a high draft pick, I think we have him for another year.

It sure seems quiet on this board tonight. Peaceful. No confrontation, no trolling, no insults. Ahhh...

Does anyone know how high a priority he (and particularly his parents) place on graduating?

From my understanding, Pinkel only tells guys to leave if they are a 1st rounder. I'm pretty sure everyone told Josey to stay another year, but he decided to go because of injury concerns(turned out to be a mistake).

I think Harris stays another year and is a top 10 pick next year.

The difference in guaranteed money between a 2nd+ rounder and a top 10 pick is mind boggling.

Harris isn't quick enough to be a OLB/DE prospect. He is a straight DE so he needs 1 or 2 more years in the Ivey muscle factory. If he plays this well at 265-270 he's a great draft prospect.

Not to be too critical, but Josey did graduate. Sure, it hurt Mizzou that he left early, but I'm not sure how much of a difference he really would have made the next season in the end result.

Got his degree, borderline active roster player, which is what he would have been after another year anyways.

As for Harris, I think another year with Kul will be pretty enticing. Harris is still pretty raw (wow). If Kul is around, come back and refine skills before Leaving with Brantley after next season.

Hopefully he understands the potential of the Dline next year. With that being said, that could hurt his individual stats too.

Sam had great stats, the NFL isn't as interested in stats as they are body, projectability, & film. I believe I read that he meets with his players and if its close he tells them individually to go. I think it's based on player. I wouldn't think he is a 1st round pick at this point, but then again Dee Ford became a 1st rounder. There are lots of strange organizations like the Chiefs.
