At this moment, the winner is ... Missouri.

The Tigers just landed another top recruit. Jeremiah Tilmon signed with Cuonzo Martin’s team Monday, ending a two-school odyssey that at one point included him signing with Illinois.

quote:

There weren’t a lot of unclaimed big guys with Tilmon’s skillset. His options seemed endless.

But he settled on Missouri, one of the worst programs in the Power Six. Lagging attendance and interest. An underwhelming coaching hire. That was Missouri.

quote:

The attention turns immediately to the late-December Braggin’ Rights game in St. Louis. Missouri’s roster will include a future NBA lottery pick, Michael Porter Jr., and Tilmon.

The booing, from at least half the Scottrade Center crowd, will start during warmups. The game will temporarily revitalize the series, which has been owned in recent years by Illinois.

Oh, and...

I prefer Champaign-Urbana, but Columbia, Mo., is a pleasant city. It has a lot of the same restaurants (C-U wins the pizza battle).

Shakespeare's is tGOAT. Suck on a fat one, Bob.

Missouri fans are historically fickle. They are with the team in good times and better times. But the first sign of trouble, they will flee. They are reluctant followers. Unless Martin is able to build a consistent SEC threat, the Missouri fans will fail to commit for the long haul.

I went to about 15 home games last year, and Mizzou was a raging dumpster fire for the third year in a row.

the key word being WAS Missouri. But it's an accurate representation of last year. Could have also said with a great history, exciting new coach, and outstanding players coming in. But they are a rival paper.

Ok that's just stupid.

it's actually pretty reasoned for a fan board. There's a decent discussion about long term would you prefer Underwood/Mark Smith to Gonzo/Tillman. It's an arguable point.

Cuonzou will wipe the floor with Underwood in St Louis.

Having Martin at Mizzou is a very bad thing for them, just as him being at Illinois would have been very bad for us.

Heard some things that not just led to us getting Tilmon but on why there was a delay. Let's just say we ain't in the KA era anymore!!!

It's all probably bullshite but I'll enjoy it.

I'll tell part. You can figure out the rest. Supposedly Illini's bagman dropped off a bag. When he decommitted, the bagman wanted his bag back. Tilmon told them to F off. What dealer calls the cops to tell them someone stole his junk?

How he ended at Mizzou.....well again not the KA era anymore.

Again, probably all bullshite but man I hope it's true.

If the communist state of IL fans are upset I am happy!

It's all good!
